Vitor Pereira: "I had a conversation with Cunha and he is very committed to the club".
"He has never asked to leave the club. He is here tomorrow and determined to try and beat Arsenal".

Yeah and if we lose which I can't see us beating Arsenal as much as I'd love us too come Monday he'll want to leave hope I'm wrong

I'm not a natural conspiracy theorist, but how about this one: The whole Cunha thing has actually cunningly and deliberately been turned into the main focus of the transfer window. Come early February he miraculously stays and reasserts his dedication to the club - possibly even signing a new contract. We fans are are, of course, consumed with rapture and joy! So much so, that we completely forget the fact that the real problems within the squad have barely been addressed at all. Full of holes as a theory I'm sure, but hey, I'm losing it a bit at the moment with what's happening to our team, so please forgive my fevered musings.

It would make a change from the Manu Silva type scenario Mattybacc, or signing the player you've never heard of, from a club you've never heard of.
Joking apart, the source of most of the hysteria around Cunha has not come from the club or the player, but from the media, other clubs fan channels all putting 2 and 2 together to make 5.
From what Pereira says they all got it wrong, let's hope he hasn't.

Well let's hope Cunha displays his loyalty to us in some way or another today chaps. Let's hope he turns on a performance that'll have the media linking every team in Europe wanting him. Let Arteta leave reeling and recognising they couldn't afford him.
Mattybacc I get exactly your line of thought but I don't think even Fosun could dream that one upriver their PR record, Cunha since the Ipswich farce hasn't looked happy in himself and I tend to agree with VP regarding body language. It must be frustrating for him and our lack in recruitment seen as a lie.
Fosuns true intentions remain to be seen in my books, Gua may well explain things next week but it's going to be an interesting finish to the transfer window one way or another methinks.

Regarding his 'body language', I am sure all of you have has the 'flu. If he had it there is no way in this world that he would be able to play to any standard. IF he had the 'flu during the week there is no way he should be anywhere near a football pitch and if he was on the pitch it's no wonder his body language was supposedly poor.

Doog947,
TBH that was my thoughts. He was playing when he was ill. Probably as frustrated with him self as much as anything.
It does indeed though highlight the depth of the squad or lack of it and why so many of top players leave. Top teams can afford to leave out a top player if they're ill, unfortunately not us. We just burn them out.
