Bruno Lage could be set to join Benfica as their new manager, despite his failures at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Botafogo.
That’s according to Record, who say Lage is getting closer and closer to becoming Benfica’s new manager.

The newspaper has learned that Lage is currently the frontrunner for the position after the surprise dismissal of Roger Schmidt.

Blackford, that's a bit strong! Worse than Zenga? A manager who prior to joining us had only once lasted more than 17 (I think) games in any managerial job, and who also doesn't seem to have achieved anything since leaving us.

Deano was surely top of that pile ( or bottom) but Mark McGhee was pretty dire (remember those ridiculous panic buys before the 1998 FA cup semi?) and Tommy Doc was pretty bad too.

I forget, but agree there's some pretty bad ones mentioned above. For me though Hoddle was hopeless.

Hoddle was weird too as well as useless. Didn't he say that disabled people are disabled because of their sins in a past life? I remember he did an early Lopetegui move on us by walking out just before the season started. At least Dean Saunders was just plain useless. I'll give Terry Connor a pass because he clearly cared about Wolves.

Terry Connor had a thankless task when he was appointed he did his best, Saunders was another who was also totally out of his depth.
