I’m inclined to agree withTFIOG. It looks to me that we are trying to play Rolls Royce football with a rattletrap defence. I’m concerned that you need truely excellent defenders to play our new system and we just don’t have them. Not replacing Kilman with a high quality CB has been a major error

For me, Kilman was not a titan for us. Without a leader beside him ie Coady or Dawson he was OKish. So the money we secured was good business.
The biggest concern is Hobbs and O'Neil not being allowed to bring at least a replacement and ideally an upgrade.
We also need to upgrade the Keeper position.

Puzzled how Toti kept Dawson and Beuno out the side yesterday. Toti is so awful on the ball, mis-controls and gives the ball away so much. Whether GON goes 5 or back 4, Toti should be benched. RAN was all over the place yesterday too.
Anyone else disappointed with Netos reaction to 6th goal?

Irrespective of how technically good and movement was good by Chelsea, the sole reason for that defeat was amateurish, at best, shambolic defending. 3 goals identical in the build up and execution, with our left side being not exposed but non existent . And with each of the other goals just basic defending know how, also non existent . Lamina and Gomez being left with too much to do by a defence who can’t defend and are without doubt the poorest, technically, in the division . Chang was anonymous Beldegard had no end product and their replacements in sarabia and Rodrigo looked lost . In a nutshell if it had not been for cunha, Larson, lemina and gomez, it could have been a cricket score. In this division you may be able to carry 2 championship quality players but not 7 . I sympathise with O’Neil as no matter what formation or tactics you use, when you have seven players who are never comfortable on the ball, there is only a relegation battle ahead . The mindset with the recruitment process at wolves is as haphazard and out of its depth as our defence is and I’m afraid that when I look at our squad and team that Nuno assembled for those first 2 seasons in this division compared to what we have now, I can only say that fosun and its management team have, in relative terms, destroyed a team and squad equivalent to what happened in the early 80s. I so hope i'm wrong but with this squad I see only heartache
