I would love to see a few new faces arrive at the club especially some that will add real value to the team. I don't think it is completely doom and gloom, the remaining players minus Neves (obviously a big loss) on form were about the ninth best performing team in the league from January until the end of the season. Full pre-seasons for Cunha, Sarabia, Dawson, Neto, Nunes should hopefully help. Very thin squad if and when injuries and suspensions occur but some astute additions can create a competitive squad. Hopefully J Lo sticks around as he could be key to getting the right additions.

Was thinking last night Aussiewolf, what would we prefer, not spending the money we did to stay in the prem and probably kicking off in the championship without kilman nunes and the likes, or, being where we are with the squad we've got? Obviously the latter. So what are we all moaning about transfer wise? We were never going to win it, middle and above will be the target and I'm confident we can do that with JL at the helm. Long term form the club? Well fosun are holding a financial safety policy. The reasons behind fosuns actions are, and will be questioned, but that's all out of our hands to some degree. So let's be grateful to be in the prem. Let's get behind the lads and be grateful for what we've got and then as you say aussie if JL is still with us make the additions.

Quite right Aussie, we still have a decent squad after the leaving and selling is over, albeit a bit thin. Yes we need another striker as Sasa is unproven but I don't think we need to sell anyone else to balance the books, so any further sales should be for 'footballing reasons'.

The Neves sale was inevitable as he wanted to move on but arguably getting £47M for him with a year left on his contract was a massive stroke of luck which precluded the sale of even more players. As for Mouts, Traore and Jimenez we all knew that would happen but I think under different circumstances they would have given Costa another season.

If the talk of investment in the ground is true then I applaud that but hardly the actions of owners looking to sell the club, so I think if anything we could be looking at additional third party investment.

At last, we have some positive posts on here! Good positive post Aussie, shame your cricketers are boring us to death!

Agree entirely with Abbey and Longmynd - we must keep Julen Lopetegui at all costs and banish Jorge Mendez from Molineux, he started very well in the early days, but saddled us with some expensive mistakes recently starting with Fabio and Guedes.

Keep the faith - mid table expectations for this season.

My sentiments exactly Abbey, few pints of porter and hopefully a good game, be a good test to see where we're at tomorrow, Celtic are a decent side, should be a good crowd too, plenty of Wolves fans over here

First time on here so nice to meet you guys, my biggest concern is something isn't right behind the scenes concerning fosun, now if they want us to be self sustainable then as we need to build a new stadium with at least 55000 capacity sort of along the lines of spurs ground so it can be used to host other events, unfortunately the mol is way past its sell by date now they promised this before and then went back on that promise, they promised a 10 year plan which we are 6 years into and have gone 3 years backwards, whereas villa are now 3years ahead of us, personally and I may be wrong but I think they're just giving us waffle to apese us and as usual nothing will come of anything they say
