Agreed. I would rather see Guedes given a chance at CF than anyone else in the current squad.

I was looking at the bench in the second half and there wasnt really anyone to bring on to change the team and make it more attacking. Only LFL swaps really. Why isn't Ronan making the bench?

A better effort and a result I didn't expect, a point is better than none.

Well, many of us said we wanted to see a bit more aggression and even nastiness in this team. Having said that, I think it's fair to say Costa has issues.

Just listened to Steve Davis's post-match interview and I wasn't unimpressed by his response to the game. Not sure about him as a coach at this level, but he certainly came across very well.

I agree Long, it was at least a fighting performance this time. We still look lost in the box but at least it was entertaining. Hugo Bueno looks SO much better than RAN at FB, but then that's probs cause RAN is a WB in fairness. Hugo looks like a good player though, good timing in the challenge which we need! Costa is an absolute fool, your never getting away with that these days! We new what we were getting with him and saddly those bouts of seeing red are part of the package. We need a manager ASAP, there could be a squad there but still not seeing where the goals are going to come from?! COYW ?

If you look at Brentfords home results this season a 1-1 dosnt look that bad, that said we could of maybe won it. Neves goal was wondrous but I get frustrated that we don't want to 'just' shoot instead of playing it around. Beuno again proved his worth. It's a point more than we started with.

We looked a lot better today, but still way short of where we need to be. Costa? What to say. We knew what we were getting, he’s a hot head with a very short fuse. He had a decent game today, looked pretty sharp and focused, up until the head but. Desperate for a striker, and now we lose our only fit one till after the World Cup

Thing is Bullys I've just heard (dazzling Dave) that was Costa's first ever red card in 95 Premier League games.

An overreaction to being manhandled or an indication of how teams lower down are treated in comparison with teams higher up by referees. To have his reputation when playing for Chelsea and never been sent off? Those at the match will know better than me but was the ref poor?

Totally agree about Bueno, nailed on starter for me.

Sitting having a beer waiting for flight, have to say we battled well today, The players definitely have the fight in them and it shows, the ref for me was poor, he let the game go a bit, but was very card happy at times. The 2 lads at the back had agood game against physical and fast opposition, Overall it was good point

Under the circumstances 2 straight defeats and we stopped the rot. We've certainly got problems with attacking play as others point out but right now any points on the board are welcome.

I normally agree Long but I don't think it's that simple with Costa. It's easier to forget cause of his past pedigree but this is literally a player that learnt his trade playing cage footy in South America. He always did those things for Chelsea, he just did it in the corner of the ref or lines man eye. So he still got a yellow but didn't get sent off (then was swiftly subbed it was the Chelsea way with cards) and cause he got a yellow they couldn't then give him a red after. He's a dinosaur in the world of VAR, he would of got away with that today as a yellow just a few years back. But not now with VAR, as others have said just part of his game not sure he'll ever learn at this stage! ?
