We should have cut all ties with Mendes last year. He contributed big time to our dismal season, and undermines many teams that used to use his services. He sold us more duds than good uns - Nuno, Neves excluded.

Good, let Mendes sell his dross to Nuno. Wolves *did* once benefit from *some* of his talented players, but Wolves were sold a lot of players that were not capable of the riggers of PL football.
I always cynically thought that the better ones were in the shop window (Jota, Neves, Neto). He's done the same to other clubs too (Joao Felix is a great example). Just a thought of mine.

We're on the same thread of thoughts, Fordhouses. He ruined Valencia. Fosun own 20% of Gestifute, so you would think it's in his interest for Wolves to do well and create his 'shop window'. Something is out of kilter, or are Nuno's needs greater than ours! The snake has definitely lost interest in us, but the manager is one of his 'flock', so can anybody explain what is going on.
Over to you, TFIOG, Bully Boy and Fosunsecondgen. You normally come up with plausible scenarios. Having been a supporter for 60+ years, I cannot second guess this current setup in charge at Molineux.

Pant wetters, well and truly out. If you honestly believe Mendes is "looking after Nuno" ahead of Wolves, then give your head a wobble. Pretty sure the West Ham owners will have something to say about who they want to sign.
Nuno is just Mendes' client. Fosun actually have shares in Mendes' agency. I highly doubt anyone going to West Ham isn't even being considered by Wolves.

The issue is Alleyne will have a lot of suitors and Man City haven't sorted the manager situation with Maresca just yet.
If more of their defence moves on this summer, they may be left short, as John Stones has left already.
Ake has been a bit-part player as well, and they always seem to have injuries in defence.
Plus Alleyne may be thinking he wants to try it in the Prem. Over to Cesar to sell his plan to him.

Can we stick to tried and tested since we've gone for a complete gamble of a manager.
Neves and Jota had actually played lots of games in league at senior level and both played in Champions League. People forget that and act like they both were in youth team...

I remember Blackburn at home, last match of season, relegation decider, May 2011, I think. Either one of us could have gone down instead of Birmingham. Then news came through that Birmingham were losing at Spurs, and the players at the Mol were getting signals from the managers to the effect that a draw would save us both.
We started to pat the ball to Blackburn and back. Ref got incensed, and threatened to call the match off as nobody was trying to win or lose! Not surprisingly, the match ended in a draw and we both survived. At least that's how I remember it. A dodgy result though.

I was at that game as well, Deep. It was only the last 15-20mins when they actually started just passing it about. I vividly remember Steve Kean screaming at both teams to just sit on the draw! Happy days indeed. ?

You're right, Sevlow, it was a defeat, but it felt like a victory. At 3-1 down, we needed a goal, and Stephen Hunt scored it, and we cheated relegation on goal difference. If we had kept our foot on the pedal in the closing minutes, and scored again, Blackburn might have gone down. At 2-3, both managers were happy. Impromptu match-fixing in reality!!!

I wish Gary all the best at Ipswich. When he was at Wolves, he had supreme talents such as Cunha and Neto, etc., in the team, but was still ultimately found wanting. He never really recovered from that cup loss against Coventry, so it wasn't totally down to that plonker Jeff. Gary will learn from his experience at Wolves.
