Chan agreed personal terms with crystal Palace and look set to go if a fee is to be worked out between both sides. I’m torn on this one because yeah he hasn’t been great last season and a half Ish but when he’s on, he’s one of the best finishers in our team and can School, but it is probably the best thing for him if he moves on because he is just stuck in a rut at the moment I’m still concerned because we need more attackers and forwards and as the GSL rumors continue to grow, surely FOSUN would not sanction that because we would have nobody up front and I don’t know how you would survive.
1.) 19 Aug 2025 23:05:29
Fosun are businessmen not football.
The promises from day 1 about being in the champions league and winning a trophy within 10 years as well as doing the stadium up haven't been kept. So don't be surprised. Relegation is guaranteed
2.) 20 Aug 2025 07:51:57
??? "I'm sick of the happy clappers"???
??? "Forsun out! "???
??? "Jeff Shi "???
??? "No ambition"???
??? "No stadium extension" ???
??? "Sleep walking into relegation" ???
I think I covered most main talking points, from the same posters.
3.) 20 Aug 2025 08:05:38
You'd best put all of your savings/house on a bet to that effect Hendy. If its guaranteed, you can't lose.
4.) 20 Aug 2025 08:58:24
???we wouldn’t be where we are without fosun
??? we signed neves, mouthino, Patricio, jota
??? 8 years of premier league football
???
Think I’ve covered the points from the same posters
5.) 20 Aug 2025 09:38:42
Fosun did what they said they would do right up until COVID-19. They obviously don't have the same money since a big chunk of their fortune was wiped out. They are now treading water with us because that's all they can afford to do, so pointless to keep on berating them about lack of ambition. A new buyer is our only option.
6.) 20 Aug 2025 09:54:35
Excellent Fordhouses, I really did think this summer was going to be different and here we are, starting the season having sold established players replacing them with no time to get up to speed, with possibly good future players to sell on. Same as last few seasons, depressing when the best we can hope for is 17th, unless VP can work miracles, that is of course if he remains.
7.) 20 Aug 2025 10:19:03
Well said camo
While I appreciate what fosun did in the past the unfortunate fact is that the fosun business model when they bought us and the current business model they operate under are like chalk and chews it may as well be two completely different companies, if the current way of operating continues it will not and cannot succeed in the money pit that is the premier league, that’s just a stone cold fact
So the only way we will be anything other than relegation candidates season after season is they go back to funding the club or they sell
8.) 20 Aug 2025 11:19:02
I'm disappointed with how short the team has been left starting the season.
But I would say that the bigger clubs Man Utd, City, Chelsea and Arsenal have only announced the players they don't need the past 8-10 days. Maybe this is due to CWC but there is still a lot of players that would improve the quality of the Wolves squad either as signings or loans.
Players will wait to see what there best chance is of getting in WC squads next year.
Sanchez and Pubill could be the full backs for Spain next summer. We can moan but you can see that the club has aimed to replace players with quality. Still think Jackson and Moller Wolfe will be successes to be fair.
Also we can say we need quality then claim the club should sign anyone (which has happened on this rumour site aswell).
Yes Sunderland have signed players for example but West Ham were poor last season so I don't think there strategy is any better than ours to be honest.
From the x amount of signings around 25% will be a success that's the way it is in the prem. You look like a transfer guru if its rights but a plonker if it turns out like Cutrone, Guedes, Nunes and Silva.
Genuinely if we got Disasi, Fofana, Vieira, Casado and Uche would be a strong finish to the window.
Thats 8 signings not sure where Hwang and Silva would fit in around that though.
Vitor needs to put his foot down on players he actually wants.
9.) 20 Aug 2025 12:01:32
From what I've seen of Hwang when his tail is up he's capable of scoring in any game, but when he loses confidence he goes missing. Add to that his injury record and when he has been in good form the injury usually puts a stop to it.
Players will start adjusting their expectations around moves over the next couple of weeks with either wage demands, the level they want to play at to play regularly and whether they and their clubs are open to loans.
The thing we don't know is how active a part the club will play in that time either successfully or not.
10.) 20 Aug 2025 15:49:07
How many emojis if we are relegated?
Is there an egg on face emoji?
Stop having a go at concerned Wolves fans
11.) 20 Aug 2025 16:08:20
Hi Madman seems to me the quality players we've tried to sign
dont want to come to us
12.) 20 Aug 2025 17:48:15
Hwang was flying and wudv got 20 goals for us if it wernt for the bloody asia cup.he came back injured and has never been the same since.shame

So if Madrid now don’t want to pay the money for Gomes, could we get him to stay for one more year? Galatasaray are sniffing around but he could do better than them. Yes, European football on offer but the champ is still better than most of the Super Lig.
1.) 23 Jun 2026 16:21:41
VB problem is, if Gomes stays, Wolves have 2 defensive mfs with no goals. Andre, 1 goal; Gomes, I think, 7. No creativity, no goals, that was the problem. Wolves need a creative mf who can score goals.
2.) 23 Jun 2026 20:41:01
Wolves should loan him out for a year. Let's see how sincere he is if Wolves make that offer.
3.) 24 Jun 2026 10:33:58
It is a nice idea, Handsome, but (sadly) also probs not that simple. It has been pretty clear for months now that selling Gomes is part of the long-term plan, as he is one of the only assets we have that should have gone up in value. So, whilst I'd love to keep him, I fully suspect that cashing in on him was part of the plan when we tied down Andre. Our finances are not good, so I think we will need to find a buyer for him and half the others ASAP! Speaking of, it's nice to see we are keeping Lima, as that also means Jackson is on his way.
He was never the right signing, and is a clear example of the problems we had under Jeff Shi. It's essentially what happens when you don't secure the manager's first, second, or even third choice for a position!
4.) 24 Jun 2026 11:22:18
You know we don't have to play them both at the same time, right? And we could play 3 in midfield, like in a 4-3-3...
So, the problem was Jeff, Vitor, Gary, Rob...
and now it's Andre and Gomes? And here I was thinking it was our shocking defence, that seemed headless at times, and a lack of a striker that hurt us... not our best 2 players.
5.) 24 Jun 2026 12:06:57
Do you honestly think that Andre and Gomes would stay in a Champ team whilst being happy with rotating?! Absolutely no chance, and neither should they be; for that matter, as a club, we also shouldn't be justifying that level of wage spend unless both players are going to be starting the bulk of our Champ matches.
I don't actually think the tactical side of it would be a problem, as I think together they would dominate midfield enough in the Champ that it wouldn't really matter. I suspect the more realistic problem, as said, will be the balance sheets. Ours don't look good right now!
6.) 25 Jun 2026 00:10:19
If it is purely cash not profits that Fosun/Wolves need - and with SCR replacing PSR profits are no longer measured - then Wolves might be able to raise more than enough to fund the rebuild, if that is the only reason Wolves need cash, by
1) selling - albeit at a loss or for modest sums relative to the amounts they were purchased for - all the non required players such as Jackson, Hoever, Santi and Hugo Bueno, Toti, Doyle, Traore, Munetsi, Fer Lopez, Hwang, Sa, Johnstone, Djiga, JRB, Sasa etc etc.
2) Buying on frees a spine of experienced pros and supplementing it with a number of loans and young prospects bought for modest sums - not the £15m + figures some seem to believe Wolves will be spending.
This would enable Wolves to retain the 3 players worth substantial sums, Krejci, Mane and Gomes J (assuming of course that they are willing to stay).
A team of say Pope, Trippier, Yerson, Mings, Krejci, Wolfe, Andre, Gomes, Mane, Armstrong, Raul would be highly competitive.
The bench would be made up of further frees, a few Wolves youngsters (Lima, Gomes R, Tolu, etc), some youngsters brought in and maybe a couple of loans.
I strongly suspect, however, that a number of the players I want to keep want out and Wolves probably need the money to pay "other" bills in addition to the rebuild, and so not enough can be raised by selling off the "unwanted" I listed.
22 Jun 2026 21:15:10
Stupid question, I know, but if we have sold 22-23k season tickets, then why don’t we sell more if there is a waiting list? Or do we have to keep a certain amount back for general sale?
1.) 22 Jun 2026 21:56:40
Well obvs you have to allow for away allocation, but beyond that, VB, I think the reality is that in modern footy it's not in clubs' interests to push the season ticket model. It's precisely why many Prem clubs have got very militant about missing games. It's just logical, if you think about it, because by their very nature season tickets offer match tickets at a reduced price.
Add to that, those fans going less often are also far more likely to head to the club shop and spend a load of money as well. So, in short, clubs prefer to limit season ticket numbers, cause it just makes more sense financially. ?
2.) 24 Jun 2026 11:25:15
Erm, because there are those of us that work and have families that can't just buy a season ticket and go to every match... is... is this a real question? Surely you're just trying to be funny!?
That's like me saying, "If the club needs money, why don't they just double ticket prices?" not thinking that a lot of fans are on min wage and have life to pay for that would be priced out.
3.) 24 Jun 2026 12:18:14
No it's not, it's nothing like saying 'double the ticket prices' because season tickets are generally sold at less than the tickets worth on general sale so it's virtually the opposite. Also stop pretending to be so offended by what was clearly a very simple question where the poster has even put a cavieat on it by saying 'stupid question'!
Haha, I love that you think it's because the club care about there working fans, if that's true then why are some Prem clubs threatening to bounce season ticket holders who have shown decades of loyalty if they miss too many matches?! The club have already sold the seat so if it was just about the fans then why would they care? The truth is like most things in footy it's about money plain and simple, the fact that it helps out some fans that can't afford season tickets is merely a fortunate coincidence for most clubs.
Also What maybe tone done the constant faux outrage eh buddy? It's boring, VB is allowed to ask a question without being treated like he's a moron for asking it ?
18 Jun 2026 23:53:47
Nice to see JLo getting smashed by Canada. Walking out on us saying the players were terrible. We could beat Qatar!
1.) 19 Jun 2026 06:08:09
I think you'll find that he didn't 'walk out' on us after all. He gave Jeff Shi about 6 weeks notice so that a replacement could be found.
Have we learnt nothing from the last week in that we shouldn't believe everything that's written down.
2.) 19 Jun 2026 08:11:04
Lop walked as he knew he wouldn't get backed in the transfer window.
3.) 19 Jun 2026 08:34:07
He left because he thought, after spending £100m in January, he could do the same in the summer and didn't seem to understand PSR. He stayed on because he had nowhere else to go, and was still being paid.
He did a good job keeping Wolves up.
But beyond that, his career is patchy at best. He's at Qatar for the money. West Ham was a disaster, but the writing was on the wall there when they replaced Moyes for him, thinking the style of football would be better.
4.) 19 Jun 2026 11:18:06
Also worth noting on Lopetegui that he left because he felt the club's transfer policy would see them relegated, was he wrong?!
5.) 19 Jun 2026 11:27:22
Good, maybe don't be so aggressive towards people when replying. If VB has said something that isn't correct, it's easy to say what you need to without coming across as such an angry know it all.
6.) 19 Jun 2026 13:06:56
No aggression on my part. I was just pointing out that not everything printed is true.
The Kieran Trippier ripping up his contract story is a very recent example. Likewise, the post I put up yesterday about Hakimisports and people reacting.
7.) 19 Jun 2026 14:48:28
All good. Hard to read tone in written text. Lop, for me, is all about the money. Spending 100m and then thinking we could keep doing the same with no restrictions. The only thing I didn't like is walking away from a team with 3 days to go before the season starts. He could have stayed until Jan to see how things went.
8.) 19 Jun 2026 16:54:53
I think Lop was sold an idea by Jeff that simply wasn't true. At the time, I was so angry with Lops, and how he walked away on the eve of the season, but then, a few months later, it transpired that he told Jeff on the pre-season tour that he wanted out.
He gave the club 6 weeks to find a new manager, but again, it was handled very badly.
9.) 19 Jun 2026 18:22:03
If Lop gave 6 weeks notice, then why did he get paid compensation? Was the contract set up that if he chose to leave he gets paid anyway? Can't get my head round that.
10.) 19 Jun 2026 18:53:30
If he was sacked, he would have been paid the remainder of his contract. As it was a mutual agreement, he was paid a %.
22 May 2026 13:41:47
Wow, fair play Andre. What a signing.
1.) 22 May 2026 14:33:57
Incredible. Wolves now have by far and away the best defensive midfielder outside of the Premier League.
2.) 22 May 2026 14:35:50
If Krejci and Joao do leave as expected, Andre needs to be installed as captain. But, this may be Wolves agreeing a new deal so they can sell him for a bigger price.
3.) 22 May 2026 14:52:02
Good, I suspect that may be so, but for now I'll give the lad the benefit of the doubt.
4.) 22 May 2026 15:36:23
Good on Andre. Of course, it doesn't mean he can't leave for the right money, but it really is an encouragement. Let's hope it can influence Krejci, Santi Bueno and, who knows, Joao Gomes to stay and pull together.
5.) 22 May 2026 15:37:28
Don't need Krejci. He doesn't want to be at Wolves. Looks like Toti will be the left-sided cb.
6.) 22 May 2026 15:48:52
Well, to say I'm surprised is an understatement! What a lovely bit of news to sweeten a rubbish wkend, footy wise! Before this news, I would have said Krejci is off, but this makes me think otherwise. Where have you read he wants out, Muncher, cause I've not seen that?
This is huge news, because this isn't a million miles away from Neves signing for us first time round! Good lad Andre, maybe Nathan does mean business after all.
?
7.) 23 May 2026 09:49:26
Equally, Muncher, I read Toti wants away.
02 May 2026 13:30:02
Completely irrelevant to us I know, but given that Borough have really dropped off the pace and now will be up for the lottery - that is the playoffs - I wonder what everyone is saying who absolutely slated RE for leaving them to come to us.
Saying stuff like how they were a shoe in to go up and how amazing they were, especially Simon Jordan. Now I fancy Millwall or Southampton to be the faves to go up due to their end of season form.
13 Jun 2026 14:46:43
Plays left back also.
13 Jun 2026 14:46:31
He plays left back also.
12 Jun 2026 20:30:32
Every new player says the old line, 'I felt a connection with the gaffer.' It's what everyone wants to hear. He was just being professional, in my view. He would also know that if Wolves started off badly, then RE would have been sacked, so I don't buy this rumor.
10 Jun 2026 14:12:18
The price seems way too high for what we would want to pay.
24 Apr 2026 21:06:18
Far too low. I know we are relegated, but it needs to be 65m min. He wants to stay in prem, though.
01 Jul 2026 00:11:51
I had the same thought. He commanded the area well, and good distribution.
25 Jun 2026 23:23:55
Because there is a World Cup on. Unless we want to spend 130m on players like Anderson to Coty, not many others are buying yet. We have brought two great people in. Jackson was having talks with the new gaffer, and I'm sure we will start to see movement next week, hopefully.
19 Jun 2026 14:48:28
All good. Hard to read tone in written text. Lop, for me, is all about the money. Spending 100m and then thinking we could keep doing the same with no restrictions. The only thing I didn't like is walking away from a team with 3 days to go before the season starts. He could have stayed until Jan to see how things went.
13 Jun 2026 13:46:52
He didn't need a new job. He was being courted by Benfica and had led G.V to their highest finish. He is regarded as a great up-and-coming manager who wants to play attacking football.
Sometimes, I think clubs just do the merry-go-round of managers, and will get behind our new gaffer. Let's give him a chance. We all knew change was needed, and a big clear out, and new, fresh ideas.
12 Jun 2026 20:24:46
I doubt this rumour is true, and it is more agent noise from Re to sow discord at his former employer. I would think that Trip knew that there was a potential change in manager happening, and he has been around long enough to see managers go.
He knows how the game is played. For him, the biggest thing is that he is on a great wage, has a great 2-3 years on a contract at his age, and is close to his kids.
