Well we are in a right pickle with FFP but if some one can answer me how much debt are we in considering we have sold players to the sum of 90mill. Plus at least £4oo thousand a week in wages has been saved yet we still need to sell to be able to buy can't get my head around this. There must be something wrong with the way the club is being run and god help us if Lopetegui decides to walk away and you couldn't blame him. To chase the current manager for 6 or 7 years the drop this on him is beyond belief what is going on but as usual the fans will be the last to know.

Jeff has been told to pocket the majority of the money and send it on a slow boat to China, Dek.

I do think Julen will use this season to boost his pro file then when a bigger team comes calling he'll be off. I'm 100% convinced now. Behind the scenes is shocking tbh. I still see us better than the 3 promoted teams and will be fine.

We all know that Jeff Shi isn't a great judge of a player, turn's out he's not much of an accountant either! Shambles.

SG081082 as I have said we have sold players for 80 to 90 mill yet were still under presure to sell more. Its now become ridiculous how has Shi let it get to this its beyond a joke if we get relegated how much money will we lose.

I've been trying to avoid the rumour mill as much as possible due to the wall of silence Wolves build around transfers and the emotional roller coaster that creates .

This one, so far, has been even more traumatic with so many players leaving or being sold, with very little coming the other way. There's even a lot of 'new posters' appearing on here to express their concerns and frustrations in equal measure.

Personally, I can't believe that Wolves were not aware of their own finances which will be subject to ongoing management accounting like any other professional business. This would not have dropped out of the blue like an unexpected letter from the bank. However, I also find it unbelievable that they waited 6 years to land their first choice manager and took him on while promising backing to rebuild the squad whilst knowing the club, would not be able to fully deliver on that promise. In fact it appears he'll finish up with far less of a squad.

What was interesting to me was for the first time in ages (Covid maybe) Guo Guangchang rocked up just prior to the winter management personnel changes and that first round of spending. Was that Fosun dropping in to 'sort things out' and putting Shi on notice of further changes at the top, maybe.

Let's not forget to fully rebuild the squad players will have to leave and we all knew exactly who the nucleus of those leaving would be. Some of those having contributed little of late and in truth, plenty of us have been calling for their sale over the last 2 years or so. Plus, some were bought for significant sums even though the move was not what they wanted and consequently delivered nothing.

So, what are we supposed to believe? Can we afford decent new players or can't we? What are the main areas of the team that still need rebuilding? I think we all know the answer to that so should the club just focus on fixing that for now? I watched the friendly last night and felt that Wolves continued in the vein of pretty much a one half performance allowing the opposition far too much possession in the second half. My overriding feeling was, still, a lack of coherence in the attacking play apart from some good overlapping and crosses from Bueno. Conclusion, unless we find a decent striker (it may be Sasa, but not Silva) and work on deliveries into the box we will be goal shy for a third consecutive year, which would be both unacceptable and frankly suicidal.

So, what are we supposed to believe? Are we hamstrung by ffp or is it something else, for example, trimming down to get back into profit as part of the terms of significant third party investment. There you go I'm speculating now, but just to rub salt in the wounds the two teams actually under investigation for significant alleged breaches of the ffp regulations are apparently still active in the transfer market, one of them massively so.

Just to go back to our Academy I said last week what is the point of our A class Academy which must be expensive to run. Yet all we seem to do is loan or sell the players coming through. I thought the idea was to bring those who are good enough I.e Giles as an example to play in our first team, but no we sell them on some for peanuts.

Either the money was spent in January or we might be selling players in preparation for the Championship.
Julen knows full well what happened and what is happening. He just is avoiding the responsibility for favorites being sold.
