David Ornstein is reporting Newcastle have a firm interest in Larsen and could make a bid.

This is the wording from the Tweet:
Newcastle retain firm interest in Jorgen Strand Larsen. Not more advanced than other options but 25yo Wolves forward among small group being considered. Talks via intermediaries + Norway int’l keen on #NUFC but not agitating to exit

Wandering Star it say Wolves want 60 to 65mill for Larsen I don't know if true or not. But here's some facts Newcastle rate Isak at 150mill Isak scored 23goals last season. But 4 of them were pensLarsen scored 14goals no pens so if the figures are right Isak is worth 95mill more than larsen. The figures don't make sense especially if you then take pens out he only scored 5 more goals what's your opinion.

Unfortunately this is looking like a possibility. The Isak deal is likely to happen and Brentford are standing firm on over £60m for Wissa leaving JSL as being viewed as the cheaper option.

On Saturday all I heard from the fans around me in the North bank was how useless Munetsi and Strand Larsen were.
Personally, I wouldn't sell him. He's only just signed for us so unless Newcastle are prepared to pay over the odds like they expect Liverpool to for Isak, then I'd tell them to jog on.
If we had replacements lined up then I might consider a sale but I don't think our recruitment team know what they're doing at the moment.

Molineuxway if Wiss is 60mill then Larsen got to be 80 to 90 mill 1 season in PL 14 goals playing for a team fighting relegation.Put Larsen in a decent team give him the service and he'll score goals.

JSL shouldn't be sold. He doesn't seem to want to leave and we've just signed his mate. The question should be if he is to be sold, not what the player is worth in the market but what his goals are worth to Wolves. Is JSL a £100 million player, of course not. But what would it cost to replace his goals without huge risk and what difference could it have on final finishing position in the league. If it's the difference between PL and Championship, he's worth much more to Wolves than £60 million

Aghehowa as a replacement is a massive step up from JSL.
Could sign Abline as well.

The problem we have is do players want to stay at a club who’s owners are just content to avoid relegation every season and have zero ambition to do anything else or do they go to a club that’s pushing for/winning trophies and getting European football?
My Heart says they stay at wolves but my head says they won’t, we are probably the worst run club in the premier league, players aren’t daft they know what’s going on and will eventually push for moves elsewhere to be replaced with sub standard replacements

It's the club that values their players and Wolves, Bretford and Porto have all publicly set their stalls out.
£65mil gets you JSL, £60mil Wissa, £80mil Aghehowa. As it happens they're the 3 potential players on Newcastle's shopping list to replace the outgoing Isak. I'd say the prices are sensible relative to each other, Aghehowa having the highest potential, Wissa the most consistent stats in high level football, JSL a compromise of the 2. All of those valuations are over inflated in my opinion.
The reasons JSL has shot to the top of the list, Wissa is soon to turn age 29 and Aghehowa has a suspected muscle tear!

Aghehowa isn't worth £80m sorry that is just fantasy land by the tabloids.
He's had one good season under his belt he is worth between £40m-£55m. £40m with add ons probably would do the deal.
The issue for Porto is they have signed two forwards already so are ready to offload forwards. They have financial difficulties so can't afford the extra wages on the books.
As I predicted earlier in the summer Porto have made moves to make sure they aren't left short up front.
Question is we should bid for Aghehowa and Abline knowing that both clubs need to sell.
I think Wolves have held their nerve smart and some big deals will be done the next 14 days.
Look at all the clubs that need to offload players City, Chelsea, Porto, Arsenal, Man Utd not saying I want every has been but there is some quality at some of those clubs.
After Jackson today we need CB, LCB, x2 CM, FW and a striker

If an offer from Newcastle at anything over £50 million for JSL was forthcoming in the next 72 hours, I, for one would not hesitate in accepting. If we received an offer of around £10 million for Hwang and £20 million for Silva, then we would have more than enough to make realistic offers for our top targets. We won’t get this type of money for any of these in the future, so if the opportunity is real then we should not hesitate in off-loading all three.

Porto paid Athletico Madrid £32mil for 50% of Samu Aghehowa's contract 12 months ago. We're not even in with a chance, regardless he may be long term injured.
I doubt there's more than £25mil left in the pot, one purchase and 1-2 loans if we're lucky, unless we can sell a few of the bomb squad at three times their real value.
