The fans aren't the ones that paid £27.5m for him and gave him £80k per week! Like I said at that price we can't even replace him with another bench warmer so just not sure what the value in it is, much like Doyle tbh ?

Yes a 'bad buy' and he didn't want to be at Wolves. He's been under 3 managers here now and not one of them has got any consistency out of him. Sometimes you have to cut your losses. What's the other option. Keep him on 80-90K/wk for a bit part player and then let him walk for nothing?
Isn't this what the new restructure is all about. Getting players who actually want to play for us?

Not aimed at you Black but I do get annoyed with this whole 'he didn't want to be here' nonsense! He's a grown adult who accepted the contract and by doing so doubled his wage to a level he NEVER would have got elsewhere! Much like Fabio, if you sign a contract cause you wanted the money but then decide you miss living in the sun then frankly your either not good enough or you have a bad attitude (maybe a little of both)! These aren't children these are grown arse adults making more in a year than we will in a life time, if you sign the contract then get your head down, work harder and earn your wage cause beyond that I have absolutely no sympathy! We all work for peeps we don't want to sometime but if I suddenly started doing half the amount of work I'm supposed to then blamed not wanting to work for the company I'm at then it would not be a good enough excuse so I REALLY don't see why it should be for elite athletes?!

On the flip side of this Bullysboy I think both players did put their heads down and try to work for the team.
Silva did fine in his first season aged 18 scored 6 similar numbers to Rooney at the same age.
Guedes was played as a no 9 against some monster cb's in the prem and did fine in his first season under Lage and Lop but then became disenfranchised under GON. Also he put his head down in trying times last season. When you think he played two full seasons here and cost £15m a season approx its not bad for £400m tv money in itself. Same goes for Silva.£35m over 5 years that's a billion pound staying in the prem!
Fans saying you need to support the manager I think Fosun did with Guedes and Silva being signed. Bruno really wanted Guedes but also got rid of Coady, Saiss, Boly and Dendoncker.
Ande F Silva is a player you have to take a risk on if he had turned into the next Jota, Neto, Neves etc it would have been worth every penny.
It is a confidence position though ST if you aren't being played your head drops like Cutrone, Silva, Guedes, Hwang, Trincao etc etc over the past few seasons since Nuno.

I get that Mad but we seem to be having two different convoys. Yours is a justification/understanding of how signings can go wrong (which I understand/agree with). Mine is about using a players OWN decisions as an excuse for them openly wanting away from the club (which both Guedes and Silva have done) which I just have no time or sympathy for! As for Silva scoring 6, I'm afraid that's more than he's managed in the league during his entire tenure (he got 4 in his first season) not his fault but equally don't go blaming everyone else as it's not going to get you very far (which he did).
I agree that ST is a confidence position but equally what that last list has in common in terms of ST (Cutrone, Silva, Hwang and Guedes) is that none of them are good enough to play ST in the Prem. Guedes (and Hwang) can be useful in a winger/inside forward role but only as a Sqaud players. In fairness Silva may still come good (he's still young) but as for the rest they simply aren't good enough for ST in the Prem and nothing they've done since suggests otherwise ?

Madman whilst I tend to enjoy your posts perhaps you should stay from the numbers.
The wage bill you quoted previously was miles off and the idea that Wolves receive £200m a year from TV money is just bizarre.
Look at the accounts. Wolves total turnover, TV, gate money, hot dog sales, everything, is well under £200m - in fact miles under.
Thus the signings of Silva and Guedes, including their wages, were huge financial obligations.
Between them, wages and amortisation, the two of them - yes just the two of them - cost one in roughly every 8 pounds the club receives each year.
Handsome and to some extent Madman whilst I accept it is only an opinion I think the reason they only played a few minutes here and there was because the manager (s) thought they weren't very good?
I also certainly don't agree Fabio put his head down. He was unfit when he arrived and showed very little interest throughout his time here. Slow as a cart horse, strong as a glass of water, terrible touch and truly awful finisher. He undoubtedly has improved since leaving Wolves and going on loan but his attitude and, although to a lesser extent, that of Guedes was, whilst not as bad as Trincao's, awful.
Ps if the club wants to invest tens of millions of pounds in me I might turn in Neto - as I am approaching 70 I can guarantee I won't - and anyone who had ever watched a single football match should have know Fabio wasn't going to either!
In case you think that is me being wise after the event see my posts from a few weeks after he arrived - it was just as obvious then as it is now!
