Anders Christiansen at Barcelona is available as they need to clear players out for Rashford deal.
Played for Chelsea always remember him been a grafter and winning his aerial duels.
His wages are high (apparently £170k pw ???) so this may be a problem or maybe we go for a loan for the rest of the season.
Interesting that Barcelona are actively trying to overload players in January.

What player with any ambition would want to sign for a Championship bound club with no leadership and negative mentality.
Back to where we were before Nuno possibly a worse position…complete disinterest from owners

Obviously would be far far better than anything else we have in the back 3 at the moment but I very much doubt we could afford his wages or that he would be willing to swap Barcelona for Wolves permanently.
Perhaps a loan with them paying a (large ) chunk of his wages?

Wolvo1963 there's two situations in my opinion one is we are and have treated the transfer window as we were before January looking for defensive reinforcements and a midfielder which were Vitor's targets.
Its a bit patronising to say are they actively looking? As they were keen on Danso but Man Citys signing of Khushanov has stopped that deal in this window. Unless Wolves move in with a deal of £25m+ probably closer to £30m- I can't see that happening. We were after Veiga supposedly which seems like we have missed out to Juve again this may be because Cambiaso is moving to City (don't know for sure but Pep is really keen on him for big money £70m+).

So to bring one cb would normally be good business but with the injuries and suspensions we have has as well as some tough fixtures in January I think we have to have a little bit of patience.

Everyone would agree that Manu Silva looked the type of player we needed but we were beaten by the opportunity that Benfica had to offer or he may have been a fan since he was young.

We really do have to keep our heads as in an ideal world we need a cb and a midfielder come next Monday 3rd Feb.

The other situation is that Cunha's fate is almost sealed and that was why the rumours were in overdrive last week. So maybe the club are finalising deals for his replacement still a cb, midfielder and a forward. Not saying I agree with this way but it could be a possibility if 5 clubs are offering £80m+ it probably would be good business for us if we have the right players to come in. Emphasise on the 'if'.

Cunha is playing like he wants out, if that is the case we need to sell him and move on. I have seen this before with players not wanting to be at the club and destroying the morale of the other players. we need fighters not cowards.

He was walking through the game on Saturday making sure he didn't get injured. To say the best he gave 50% commitment to the cause, yes I know people will say he is the best player we have got but it will certainly not add to the squads attitude when they can see a player just going through the motions. At points it was like watching walking football there was urgency, structure absolutely nothing.

Baza - totally understand your comment but who would be left?
Why would any Premier quality player want to remain associated with a club that is being run like this one?
If we don't survive this year then most of the first team squad will leave anyway and we may well drop straight through the championship to the lower leagues even before you take into account the very real possibility of a 10 point deduction for going into receivership!
Madman - agree that in normal circumstances signing one premier league quality player in Jan would be good business. But in normal circumstances a serious premier league team wouldn't be going into the January window 3 or 4 players short of an acceptable premier league 11, (before injuries and suspensions), and at least 7 or 8 short of a premier league quality squad.
So these are not normal times and sadly we are not a serious premier league team and may well not even be a premier league team for much longer!
We in fact, as you acknowledge, only have a week to save the future of the club so not a lot of time for patience/keeping our heads.
I personally think it is easy to sell high quality players like Cunha but I, like you it seems, am far more sceptical that we are capable of bringing the required quality and quantity the other way.
