Galatasaray are now keen to sign Lemina this summer, and plan to make a £3.4 million offer soon. The publication go as far as to claim that Lemina has said to Gala that he would go there if they can reach an agreement with Wolves.

Not sure why he would want to do that if true? Obviously it’s not as that would be a terrible move.

Maybe personal reasons or not fully settled, let's see how this develops.

£3.4m? Just saw a pig flying past the window. No way he'd leave little bro either. You can tell it's the cricket season for the next week or so.

Yet Lemina has made it clear he loves it at Wolves and wants to stay, don't believe everything you read on X.

Would seem very odd for him and the club to go to all the effort (last window) of signing his younger brother to help them be together after his dad passing for Mario to then decide he wants to move country?! Even odder that the club would sell him for less than half they paid! Surely just paper nonsense?! ?

Yes it's all probably nonsense but if you look at Mario's career he's been a bit of a journey man.

Fair Ard but that still doesn't explain why we'd sell a first team player for pence on the pound. Let's be honest anyone in our squads for sale at the right price, but if the right price for starting players is half of what we paid for um then we are in REAL trouble! Just don't see it but who knows ?

Rumours seem to be gathering momentum. I've seen it mentioned that he fancies another crack at Champion's League. I really hope he stays, but if he really does want the move, there's no point in standing in his way.

BB 3 to 4 million is a huge hit yes.

if market prices are down this window, and we won't really know for a few weeks if this will be the case, then I suppose it could be that clubs find they are in negative equity on playing assets with players that are over valued on the balance sheet but the selling club will not be able to realise the aasset value.

I'm not a financial expert but the PSR rules will surely have some kind of impact on valuations and fees.

Like houses or any asset if you buy at the top end and the market stagnates you're sitting on a potential loss.

I would have thought Mario was a required player. He’s under contract and a potential captain. There’s no way we will let him go for petty cash as it would mean paying a much higher fee to replace him. If I am wrong, the club is in trouble!

Got to be honest gents I can't find those rumours anywhere? Would appreciate the link. Like I said I could see us selling anyone this season but I can't believe we would do so on Lemina at a huge loss?! It would make no sense as we'd sell him and be left paying off about another £4m for a player we now have to replace?! Every player has there price, but I don't believe his will be any less than the £8-9m we paid?! Guessing they will be buying Noah (his bro) as well?! I just don't see it gents but who knows ?

If he really has one year left on his contract like it says and we haven't built an extension in then I really do despair! It would be like we've learnt nothing from Ruben! ?

BB - I have seen the rumour and believe that yes he is in his last year so the sale price would be at or about his book value.
However it would be madness beyond all madness to sell him at this level or indeed anything up to at least 10x this
If he wasn't in the last year of his contract and 30 you would say he is worth far more than even that. (Arddunby I believe you are correct re prices and that is why I only said 10x the offer)
Alongside Gomes he formed one of the best CM pairs in the league between Sep and Feb (For example they totally outplayed Fernandez and Caicedo at Chelsea who cost nearly £200m more!).
He is undoubtedly one of our top 5 players who are all top 4 quality!
None of them should be sold - Cunha, Neto, RAN and the 2 CMs.
(Accept transfer policy is formed/forced by your financial status and we obviously don't know just how bad it is. However after looking at our historic accounts it is hard to believe that it is now so bad that we are forced to make the self defeating decisions some are sugesting we should/will make)
For many of the fans who assume that we will/should sell Neto be careful what you wish for.
I accept he only played 19 games last year but in those we got 28 points, (and would have had more with VAR playing ball), in the other 19 games we got 18!
In other words with him we are a European football team and a relegation battle side without!
Think about that! How many players can you name that would singlehandedly transform the Forest side into a Champions League team!
That is why all the top sides want him.
If fit he is one of the top handful of players in the league and worth, (if fit ), way more than £60m.
Hopefully we keep him, he reamins fit, and in January if we have to for his sake, (obviously not ours), with enough points on the board to stay up again next year, we can sell him for his true worth - cf Grealish, Caicedo, Fernandez, Anthony etc etc

Almost spot on future.I'd guess Dawson's stats aren't too dissimilar. Our two most important players last season by a country mile in my opinion.

Personally I can't see him going anywhere. Or his brother. He came here not knowing what to expect. He was welcomed with open arms. Soon became a fan favourite! We love him. And from what has been reported he loves us. He's clearly happy here and sees a future in Old Gold, at least for the foreseeable! Otherwise he would of warned his younger brother away from here. I do think one of our top players will leave this window. But I don't think he would even be in contention. At the very least he could have another season with us, settled, around family, to show his worth and attract the big money clubs. I respect and admire loyalty, but I could never criticise someone for making a decision that could make their life better - sometimes it just has to be done! But I do feel that his short lived partnership with Gomez has opened both their eyes (as they have mine!) into just what they could achieve in this top tier league of football. Imagine what GON could achieve next season with the opportunity to bring in exactly what he is looking for. The fact that the window hasn't even opened yet and apparently we have signed a talent that is recognised by 'giants' like Madrid in Gomes really does fill me with hope! Yes, the price hike was a rubbishter - I'm not a STH but I still feel that way - but my god, it is to me a rather alien feeling that we seem to have secured one hell of a player before the window opens, rather than wondering on deadline day if we will even sign anyone at all. I expect sales. And people we would rather not go. But I think if we can keep hold of the likes of Lemina, Cunha, Gomez, then we could afford to cash in on the likes of Neto, Sa, Kilman etc. We just need to have covering options lined up before we do so. With the situation the club was left in just over a year ago when Lopetegui walked, everyone wrote us off and had us in a relegation battle. I didn't completely write us off, but certainly didn't expect much myself.

I for one cannot wait to see what this window brings, and what GON has up his sleeves.

Bring on next season, FWAW
