Given the chance of staying up is virtually zero, I really hope we go on a good run. The momentum and confidence will be vital to give us a good start in the Championship.

OtleyWolf I agree with you, last few seasons we have been poor towards the end which has carried over into the following season.
Be nice to go on a decent run, maybe getting ahead of myself though we have only won once, hope we get something tonight ??

A few weeks maybe days, ago I'd lost caring what happened to us this season, expecting us to have lowest points ever, highest goals against etc.
Now, after one win and seeing a different attitude, players like Mane and Tolu, even Hwang working for the team, defence looking more organised, I'm looking forward to our games coming up.
I see little chance of survival, but will take some solace if we go down fighting and giving everything.
I hope we will see the new found attitude again tonight with every hope we will win.
As I've mentioned before the target now is not to be bottom and get more than the 12 (?) Points Derby had.
Who knows what the team maybe come Feb but while there's a chance there's hope.

Agree we are going down.
But do you agree. And I know he's looked not interested ar times, but jsl, and tolu would smash the championship. Between them
Hope they both stay tbh

I’d be happy to sell jsl if it means we get someone a bit quicker in. It’s a shame as I think he could be a very good striker in time. Not sure his form will improve with us though, most of the team seem better except him currently. I’d even go so far as to say hwang gets in the team before him.
However I wouldn’t want to sell him to a relegation rival, I know it’s unlikely but there is still a chance we can make a battle of it and catch Forest and maybe Leeds. Forever the optimist.

Greyleg. I think the only players to stay when we go down will be the players unwanted by top flight clubs in England or abroad. Why would JSL stay for half his wages (relegation clause) when he was wanted by Newcastle last summer for big wages? Even Messie would have struggled to score for Wolves this seaason, so JSL should still be in demand.
Young Mane will stay till the end of the season and then be sold for a fortune if he keeps up his sensational start up.

I'd agree greyleg but the problem with JSL is his defeatist attitude, if it's not going his way his concentration and effort goes. Maybe being dropped might have woken him up again, but honestly if someone will pay the money we ask I'd let him go, where he'd undoubtedly flourish.
Tolu would terrorise a lot in the championship and he could become the new folk hero in a return to the prem.

Greyleg
Sadly can't see either of them being there as, unless Tolu has a relegation clause in his contract, their wages will be way more than Wolves can afford.
Plus I would imagine Wolves still hope that JSl will be a saleable asset. There is very little left to sell, (many of the squad are virtually unsaleable due to their high wages relative to their ability), and with massive costs and vast debts to service and income just about to plummet every penny they can raise will be vital!
The side next season will not contain many of this year's squad (either sold or sent out on loan to part fund their wages), and will be made up of youngsters and lower league players bought for pennies.
Wolves will be one of the poorer teams in the Championship - remember Wolves won't have the parachute payment as it has already been promised to the bank - and have huge non football costs so will have to have one of the lower football wage bills!
