Yes cash in black, Fraser looked very promising and like a good young powerful striker when we had that injury crisis, but went on loan last season. I don’t know where he is now though. Is he at the club or out on loan this season as well?

I don't think the JSL scenario is as straight forward as it seems. I heard today that VP is happy for him to leave as long as he gets in 2 strikers that he wants.

JSL was a Hobbs and GON signing to fit into their ethos and vision, however VP has a different vision, one that JSL can play in but VP also has others in mind who are just as capable. Therefore, if the money offered allows VP to buy the players he wants, then JSL will be gone. Doubtful if it happens in this window though.

It's a fair point Wandering, I think my concern is the idea of swapping a proven entity (14 goals in the Prem) for an unproven one. What I will happily admit though (always said I'd judge the window at the end of it) that we are FINALLY spending! I'm the first to have moan (I do know it:) but how ever you cut it in the last two days we have reinforced the team to the tune of a (much needed) £50m! Long may it continue because for the first time I'm genuinely starting to feel quite positive about this window. For my two pence I would keep JSL and hope he bangs in 16 goals this season then cash in at £70-80m this time next year! COYW ?

Wandering, if he doesn't happen in this window I can't see Newcastle trying again for 60m as they don't think he's worth that much and only willing to pay due to desperation, I'd say 35m tops is his real worth
