I'm sure there will be a perfectly reasonable explanation for this. Kerkezhas completed his move from Bournemouth to Liverpool for £40 M .Last season he scored 2goals and registered 6 assists. Air Nouri departed to ManCity for £31m. Last season he scored 4 goals and registered 7 assists. I sure Wandering will be able to explain this for me.

For me 47Vintage there is only one explanation, unfortunately we sold RAN too cheaply. Other people have said that this makes us more attractive for any incoming players, that is, we don’t stand in players way if they wish to leave. I think it makes sense to allow players to move on for career progression, however, we should always achieve reasonable prices. RAN’s price should have been more like £40-£45m in my opinion, doesn’t matter now it done, hope others are sold for correct value in future.

I've already explained. If you didn't understand, then that's an issue for you, not me.

How many times did Kerkezhas lose the ball between the edge of the box and the half way line last season? From what I saw RAN would do that at least 3 times a game, quite a few leading to goals against.

Vintage - as in all things it is not black and white.
It could be because Kerkez is considered a better defender? Or was his contract situation different? RAN only had 2 years, including our option, left on his and did this make Wolves vulnerable?
It could be the players attitude - did RAN want out but Kerkez was more content to stay put?
Or is Jeff or whoever negotiated simply not as good at negotiating as the Bournemouth team?
Or as Bournemouth, astonishingly given their tiny stadium and total lack of heritage, are a substantially more profitable team than Wolves pre-player sales they are thus under far less pressure to sell.
I suspect the latter point must be a significant part of not just this sale but all of Wolves sales!
Everyone knows that Bournemouth, and virtually every other club in the league, are simply in a better position to negotiate than Wolves.
Wolves as everyone who can read accounts knows "have" to make substantial profits over each and every 3 year cycle to compensate for their losses from underlying ongoing activities.
Sadly this is the "tax" you have to pay for having an incompetent CEO
If you don't like this statement read the line "Bournemouth are substantially more profitable than Wolves" again and hopefully you will understand
ps As I have shown on numerous occasions you can swap out Bournemouth for a number of clubs in the Prem.

Shada,
Did Aga, Munetsi, Jota, Neves, Neto, Kilman, Raul, etc have PL experience when we signed them? No is the answer.
Let's just trust the Manager to get in the players he wants. Many will be players most of us haven't heard of but that doesn't mean they'll be bad players. Why pay top dollar for an aged over the hill premier league ready player who if they are any good may be past his best and just looking for his last pay cheque. Young, hungry ambitious players who want to play for Wolves are more important.

AIT had 1 year left on his contract with the club having the option of extending it on the same terms for another 12 months as long as all parties agreed.

Kerkez had 4 years left on his contract.

It didn't help when The manager basically says if a player wanys to leave he can.
Leverage gone.

Where is your source for that info Wandering? I can only see that the club had a 1 year extension option, no where does it say that RAN had to be in agreement as surely that would mean that the club have no extension option at all?

BB - I think (and I hope I am not putting words into your mouth Wandering), that even if we had an extension if RAN wanted out we would have a problem player on our hands, which is of no use to anyone
In that case though I suspect it doesn't matter if they have 1, 2 or 4 years on their contracts?

So it’s what I thought in the first place: We sold him on the cheap. Thanks BB and TFIOG
