You know something, all of a sudden our defense looks solid. That was our main concern before the January window. Our midfield has been strengthened, and we still have Cunha up front.
Fosun have had a lot of criticism on these pages, but I think our club would be in dire straits without them.
Be careful what you wish for. This could well be a memorable season.

I have two words to say to anyone who disagrees with my comments - Bhatti Brothers.

I remember the Bhatti brothers only took well. Then the rescue by Doog. Party time in the South Bank.

Why is it always only the two options?! Either we have to be grateful for a third year in a row of complete transfer miss management or we have to accept the worst ownership seen in modern times?! Is it too much to ask for regular and consistent growth?! Cause I also have two words (and it kills me to right them) but Aston Villa! Fosun had a three year head start on their current ownership, hard to believe eh! ??

Bullys is right Lost the only reason that Fosun have sanctioned this spending is to try to ensure we survive in the Prem. So it will take the next window to see if they've learnt anything.

Not just Villa but Forest as well, both having owners with ambition prepared to push hard for success. I know Fosun are trying to recover the groups financial status and I fully understand and support that, but running an elite sports activity is different to any other business in the sense that they generally consume more money than they generate, which is why the maximisation of income is so vital. Plus of course progressively refining and adding to the squad year on year and not wholesale sell offs periodically because you've failed to build that very income.

We need steady continuous growth both on and off the pitch not this, over prune to raise funds, panic over the consequences of that then take action at the last minute to rectify those mistakes. Frankly that's nuts and it will entrap us at best in the bottom half of the table or maybe worse.

I know some will say that commenting on the realities is Fosun bashing or being negative but it's not, I've no problem with Fosun as owners, other than after all the drama they still finish up spending anyway, so why not just do it right first time, it's cheaper.

What mess? You mean Cunha? Or Joao Gomes? or do you mean Andre? What about Sarabia? Or Agbado? What mess? I mean it’s a lot better than the likes of Jamie OHara. We are the second highest spenders this window. And one of the highest overall. I’m sorry but we had to sell. We don’t have a 70k seater stadium with millions of fans buying every bit of merchandise our club releases… I mean the fans grumble at paying any money and then moan when the clubs spending is limited because of revenue. Sone of you I gen think aren’t fans of the club you just love complaining.

Fosun have now spent more than any other owner by a country mile. Even the great Sir Jack didn’t invest as much even with inflation. Jeff Shi gets a lot of stick, and some of the insults you hear are disgusting. And pundits and the press know how toxic we are as a club fanbase. I get it, the most angry of you all seem to be over 60 and have nothing better to do but our golden era was over 65 years ago…. Jesus. For those of us born after decimalisation have never ever seen us this high. I haven’t! My only experience of us being in the top flight is barely scraping by and relying on heavyweights like Kevin Doyle.

I’m sorry but Wolves are fine. FSR meant we had to sell players but it’s down to us to trust the people that keep finding the Jotas, Neves, Cunhas, Netos of the world. And maybe just for once get behind the owners who have their hands tied by a system designed to keep the big clubs with big stadiums in the green whilst punishing those that didn’t establish themselves before FSR or whatever it’s called this week.

Maybe those of us over 60 can remember honesty, loyalty and respect which took the club to its success Fenrir? I take nothing away from what fosun have done for us, for the players we've seen and the hope they gave, what I don't understand is their PR when it comes to us the paying club members. We have nothing explained, we have nothing to aspire to, our club is not the club for us if we want trophies doesn't sit well.
They seemingly were leaving us to get relegated then stump up for hopefully quality additions after pussy footing around Danso.
I get the financial restraints, I understand some decisions that had to be made, (maybe if the Fabio farce hadn't happened it'd have been different), and I'll always be grateful.
We over 60 have indeed seen the success, we have also seen the falls which is why we don't want that to happen again, we want our last chance of seeing one more success and want to think our club will be inherited by you youngsters to see greater success' in the future.
Please don't think we air our concerns because we have time on our hands.

'I get it, the most angry of you all seem to be over 60 and have nothing better to do'! Wow, firstly I'm not over 60 but that doesn't really matter cause that is quite possibly one of the most stupid, ignorant and (ironically) immature things I have actually read on these pages! Grow up you absolute weapon!
And it is mess, but don't take my word for it ask the last three managers all of whom complained about our transfer policy, in fact one of them walked because of it! You know more than all of them as well, must be all that vital work you do ya know being young and all! ?
As for PSR, I'm assuming that's what you meant (clearly spelling is also something that comes with age:) I'm guessing that Villa, Forest, Brighton, Brentford (I could go on) are all playing with a different rule book are they?!
How ironic it is that I asked why there are only two options (good or bad) and you basically doubled down on it and proved my point entirely! Wolves are fine, that's why we were bottom at Xmas two seasons ago then 18th at Xmas this season, you often find well run clubs on a similar trajectory! Besides which who wants 'fine' maybe try spending some of your pocket money to go to an actual match and maybe then you'd have slightly higher aspirations than just fine?! I'm sorry I wouldn't normally be so abrasive but the level of ignorance within that post has really rather annoyed me! ?

Fenrir sorry but I couldn't find 'the mess' you refer to in anyone's posts. For my part, I have only ever criticised Fosun for two things, one, they never extended or rebuilt the ground to accommodate all the fans that wanted tickets and season tickets, so lost income there and two, for their current policy that means that our best players are regularly sold off to compensate for that (and other) lack of income.

Funnily enough it was Guo Guangchang who said they wanted to build a 70K stadium back then and he had to be told that was a tad ambitious.

So maybe actually read what people have posted and if you don't understand anything simply ask before getting personal.

TBH, I am over 60 and followed Wolves home and away for probably 40+ years and taking both my lads. Seen us nearly go out of business under the Bhatti brothers, then a surge with Bully, Tomo etc. Prior to Fosun it has been a real coaster under various Managers and owners. I do agree that the Roger Johnstone, Jamie OHara era was a nightmare, which ultimately reinforces my view that's the right recruitment is vital for a club particularly our size to succeed. Fosun have done a good job to date as we're still in the PL, but not sure if we were too reliant on Mendes and got burnt with the Fabio and Guedes purchases which really neither have worked out cf with much lower player purchases such as Neves, Jota, Moutinio, Traore, Bolt, Saiss etc. IMO our choice of Manager since Nuno hasn't been great either. The only comment I would direct at Fenir is that as an over 60 I don't remember to many golden years. Some but not many.
Don't think you should take things to heart Fenir. It's a banter site where contributers voice their opinion. Take a look at some of the other sites at so called more successful sides and it's pretty similar.

You're right Blackfords my memory's of the real Golden Years was as a young child but I have never been to Wembley and seen Wolves lose, I include two League Cup Finals and a Play off Final. We had some good teams in the '70's and some great players, some were friends of mine, but I missed the more recent Cup semi loss due to work commitments, maybe I should have gone, lol.

LMW. I was there with my lad. Not one of Nuno's finest moments IMO.
Was at Wembley when we beat Forest and the honourable Sherpa van trophy beating Burnley.

Actually, I forgot about the Sherpa Van Trophy Blackfords. Also not at Wembley but the Texaco Cup victory against Hearts. Four of us in a Triumph Herald went to Old Trafford for the Easter game against Man Utd then drove straight up to Edinburgh for the first of the two leg, home and away final.

Slept in the car on a cliff top in North Berwick and people today moan about having to print their tickets at home and then try to lecture us older fans about supporting the club. Try sleeping in Molineux Alley all night in Winter to be sure of getting a Wembley ticket. Those were the days. ?
