Chris Wood deal is not apparently done. "Locked in talks over a deal" says the Birmingham Mail. Need this deal done quick time.
1.) Some Millwall journo reporting Wood has rejected the contract and the move looks doubtful? Hope were not penny pinchin when we haven't brought anyone in this summer! Paul Tamworth
2.) According to sky were tryin to get George Saville and Bamford? Fingers crossed.
3.) If true wonder if bamford is the back up plan to woods
4.) Chelsea want Bamford and Saville to go Middlesbrough not Wolves. So if we don't get Wood we will be left with Clarke as our target man.
5.) If these rumours of Wood rejecting our contract offer are true then its personic of the board because we could be losing out of a very good championship striker and also it will alert other clubs, if true, very poor from Moxey and Morgan yet again

Need to move quickly again for him, before anyone beats us to him, c'mon Moxey and morgan don't be stingy, give them Doyle, Johnson, ward and o'hara as part of the deal!

Ive defended the board for the last few season, but to have not paid any fee for a single player this summer, and only signing 2 players, i'm starting to get a little annoyed, I understand players like ohara and johnson are draining the budget, if we have missed out on Wood, ill be very disappointed because he's a fantastic player and would have been perfect to what I think we need
10.) Why do we have to spend money on players when we can get players like RVLP for free? Trust the scouting team and they will deliver.

Kenny wants either Chris Wood or Patrick Bamford and also a new centre back before the end of August.
1.) Doubt we'll get bamford but wood is good if we got him, then a a CB I'd go for Jordan spence
2.) Bid of 2 million for Wood now and he would be ours.
3.) Chris Wood is the ideal foil / partner for Dicko. Problem is Leicester won't sell until they have brought in another striker. Can't see any new faces before next week, but hopefully at least 2 new faces prior to month end
4.) We need to act fast if we are to get wood as there are to many teams out there chasing strikers offer sensible money from the start to get him

New striker is needed now as Clarke has beem playing up today.
1.) Whats happened with Clarke and were is the story?
2.) Apparently he refused to warm up at half time and just sat in the dug out. Heard from a person reporting on the game. Don't know if its 100% true but he can be like that I think

Sheffield Wednesday looking at Wood also now. Would hate to see him go to them instead of us.
1.) We urgently need to move on some of the group 3 players. Expect a number of deals to be finalised as we approach the end of the month, including Wood, in and out. Until Prem clubs finalise their squads, and until we move out some of the unwanted and free up our budget, we will just have to be patient

Most of you will disagree with me but what do you guys think about Matt Derbyshire? Maybe worth putting a bid in for him if we don't go for anyone else? He has scored goals at championship level before and may be worth a look at

Is anyone else worried about the lack of transfer activity at the moment? Don't want to see us struggling this year when it could have been solved with a bit of money being spent.

Not at all worried except that we aren't selling our surplus players. Kenny will do things his way and so far it has been a very good way.
2.) KJ said new signings will be drip fed over the next few transfer windows. With or without the 'Group 3' Saga hanging over our heads KJ said there will be no panic buying.
I personally think we may only get one more player in possibly two and they will be loans with a view to buying

Yes we may have to tread water mid-table till the fates of the group 3 squad are decided. Maybe one or two will make it back to the first team. But meantime we must make sure we secure Championship football and keep our young players improving.

Shows a lack of ambition if he chooses Leeds and we don't need that in our squad
KJ will leave soon enough if he isn't given money, he has a real chance over the next few years to get into the prem with us but he needs money!
Is it just me that is worried that our only business in this window is going to be getting young players to sign new contracts and signing players for the future. Especially after the last few windows
