Just to highlight the media bias:

Since 2021/2022 season Man Utd have spent €590m, have 31 points from 20 games and are 'In transition'

Newcastle have spent €480m, have 29 points from 20 games and are lauded as a great team who are on the up.

Wolves have spent €310m, have 28 points from 20 games and we are lucky to be where we are.

I think Newcastle massively overachieved last season. With that said, Howe has done a great job with them. They've also been very unlucky with first team players having long-term injuries.

I would say and it is plain bias, that GON has worked wonders this season so far.

And Utd are just meh!

Jas M-I used to get wound up by the talentless media, but no I cannot be bothered any longer. Ignorant, lacking in knowledge, rude, arrogant and biased. That's just their good points.
They'll be clapping their hands when we get docked points.

I try not to get wound up by these so called 'fonts of knowledge' but in reality they know nothing or very little about Wolves, or clubs really our size. I really don't think they're interested in anything or anyone outside the big 6-7. Look how they reacted to our fire sale in the summer. They hadn't got a clue of how often the players we sold/retired off played. In reality we only really lost Neves and we all pretty much knew he would leave anyway. Collins, Moutinio, Raul, Traore, Coady, Nunes etc were all going to go for one reason or another. I think I get frustrated more because presenters, reporters get well paid to do their job and I think they're pretty lazy outside of the bigger clubs.

You only have to watch transfer centre on sky news every night, little or no mention of anyone outside the so called top six,

It's why I no longer watch sports on the UK broadcasters, I find the overseas ones much better and yes they talk about big 6 a lot but they are also respectful to the other clubs and talk about them too.

You're right, Blackfords. The media reacted to our fire sale by strongly predicting relegation. Some fans on here did too, especially when GON was appointed. Of all the departures, the most significant one was Ruben Neves, one of the most accomplished players ever to play for Wolves. But, anyone here still missing him? Thought not. We will never forget him but we have successfully moved on.

Chelsea yesterday pretty much identical challenge as our Gomes sending off yet yellow card and agreed it was yellow by salt&vinegar and the pundits.

Phil - v good point.
There will be 5 or 6 such tackles every week but some won't be punished at all, some will be punished with a free kick but not a card, some will attract yellows and others like the one Gomes made will attract a red.
It is the total lack of consistency that makes fans mad and of course leaves the game open to ridicule and accusations of bias.

Good thread guys.

It would be interesting to hear Howard Webb explain the lack of consistency on his program with Michael Owen. Though how you can defend the indefensible when it comes to consistency I don't know!
