Did bruno and Southgate do the same coaching course together, pick the same players when not performing, pass sideways and backwards and have no real attacking plan. Keep away Max till after World Cup they'll drag you down

My worst nightmare is when Southgate likely inevitably leaves the England job after the world Cup, is he ends up in charge at Wolves.

Italy were poor last night and that shows just how poor England were. Saka isn't a LWB, Walker isn't a centre back. Made 2 subs only after going a goal down and no more afterwards. Never bought on another striker which could have given Italy a different problem. No goals in open play in 5 games with potentially some of the best attacking players available.

I don't like to be negative, but Bellingham's performance was the only real positive last night and regardless of how close the World Cup is Southgate should go.

Hardly a serial winner is he, never rated him but the Euros final did it for me. Interestingly Wolves have had a couple of ex England managers in the past but let's hope you/we never have to relive that particular nightmare, AlexWolf.

Our national team has always been predictable.
The golden generation as it was put didn't win.

Venables in 96 our last exciting team imo.

Robson in 86 and 90 the best.
Over the years just same as same as we qualify and bottle it in the tournaments.

94 I think we didn't qualify under Graham Taylor.
The stuff the press did to Graham Taylor Turnip head on back pages do you think that was appropriate with the awareness and realisation of what mental.health can do today what wasn't there back then.
Our England team from manager to players can't perform how they are capable of due to the nations pressure.
However it's reported that other countries have intense media and national pressure.
For us we need a manger who can take this pressure off our players.
It's all easy saying what can and should be done but for whatever reason our players seem to be frightened to not stick to their instructions stopping their natural instinctive game of which wins games.

I find it hard to see past Southgate's tactical mismanagement of the World Cup semi-final and the absolute disaster of the European Final.
Open play tactics after scoring, awful and the disgrace of putting so much pressure on youngsters in the penalty shot-out.
He would not a job in the Premiership.
Also agree with Phil, our players not performing to their abilities.

The top Premier league sides are international select XI's. Maybe at England level players that are good at club level don't appear as good due to the players around them. For example is any England striker that could be paired with Kane as good as Son!
