I would love to be 100% wrong on this but I think Neves will go to Liverpool, looking back at the commentary since the rumours started and Lage's 99% certain comment and Neves comments in the Times on Saturday, it just feels like it was always going to happen as far as Fosun and the manager were concerned, it was just a case of Liverpool or whoever getting used to the idea of paying 70 million or thereabouts. The recent outlay on incoming transfers was always underwritten by this.
Like I said I dearly hope that I am completely wrong on this but I have a strong sense of foreboding.

Well you have a little over 24 hours to be proved right or wrong my friend.

If Neves was going anywhere I think he would have gone by now. I'm not sure he is of the nature to throw Wolves under the bus in the dying hours of the transfer window, leaving us with no time to react.
However, if Fosun instigate and facilitate a sale like they probably did with Jota then they will deserve everything that will come their way from the fans.
Personally, I think if Neves is still a Wolves player on Friday he will sign a new contract with either a buy out clause or an agreement that if a club that he would be happy with came in for him next summer the club would not stand in his way. We'll see.

Don't want to appear a pedant stives but I think the transfer window closes at 23.00 on Thursday, not that how much time left matters if the intent was there from the start. Long, I get your point about Neves integrity but given what he said on Saturday it's as though he was waiting for something to happen. Just hope I'm well off the mark.
