So we should just look at Wolves fans who want to play for us?
You have to push the boat out to stay in the race in the prem.
Aiming for someone who wants to play for us is all well and good but you need ability as well and hopefully that develops into a player worth something in the future.
Neves, Jota, Moutinho, Patricio, Boly, Saiss, Jonny, Cunha, Neto, Traore, RAN, Nunes and Cutrone.
Do you genuinely believe Semedo, Sa, Gomes and Andre wanted to play for Wolves.
There's no problem with ambition and being motivated to play in the best teams in the world.
On another note a few players we have missed out on under Fosun
Zinchenko, Renato Sanches, Botman, Vitinha, Goncalves, Goncalo Ramos, Madeuke, Ekitike, Badiashiale, Trincao and Danso not a bad set of players when you think about it (most CL winners this season).
Who were the best linked under Moxey: Lallana, Moses and Toney (aged 18 at Northampton)

I think Pubill preferred Milan, not that he didn't want to play for us. Imagine if you had two different job offers. You like both but prefer one over the other. Something changed so you have to take the other. Let's not blow things out of context. I have never seen a report that says Pubill does not want to play for us

It not a daft reply most people that would want to play for us would be fans either growing up or passed on by a relative.
None of the players listed above wanted to play for us it was a job and they took the opportunity. I'm not saying that they don't grow a fondness later on from experience of the club, area and fans.

But writing a player off because he wanted to move to one of the top 10 clubs in Europe historically is naive.
If we just went for players that 'wanted' to play for us we wouldn't be a premier league team. As the number that want to play for us is far below the players that can improve us.

The players listed above show that we have come a long way and we need to go for certain players that improve the whole squad they won't be keen on playing for Wolve but the connection may grow.
