Rated RKO put that on at 1.30 Wolves supposedly want 3 or 4 new signings Vitor is not happy. Can someone tell me why we're still after Danso Wolves won't pay the money if they want him just pay. You'd hope they'd learn from past attempts to sign players you offer too low someone else walks in and signs them. Just pay the money and get it over the line or just listen to the fans on Saturday evening.

That's harsh Ken we still need to look after the club as a whole as well with PSR and how restrictive this has become over the past 4 years.
If you went in with a £30m for example for Danso that is extremely high then you'd have fans say they don't know how to negotiate.
Shi and the club can't win.
As I said he will leave for £25m-£30m so to start an offer at £16m, is a waste of time really. It will be interesting to see if they do get a good deal.
The reports saying he wants to come are promising just feel like we could have done a few different deals this window if we had been smart with the players in the market. Veiga seems like a really good player that we could have got but were focussed on Danso and Agboudou. Vargas that went to Sevilla for £4m would have been a great forward for us.
The midfield seems like a strange one as well I think you can have too many options and Andre, Gomes and Doyle are good players.
With Danso and Agboudou Vitor could play a back 4 (not saying he should) but there are plenty of options in the wolves squad especially if they got Danso, an aggressive midfielder and a forward.
Do you get Evan Ferguson on loan with deal to sign in the summer as he seems an exceptional talent and could help provide more competition in the squad.
Carney at Chelsea looks a good option on loan as well as a forward to offer something different.
What every business we do it should be with a plan for Cunha not being here next season so we end this season strong and then have preseason to get set.

I disagree with the idea that 'Shi and the Club can't win'. He has been a target of ours for considerable time now, longer than the duration of this window, yet the club have decided to leave it until just before deadline day to pull their finger out. Moreover, they have done so after Lens have already sold their other good centre back to city for £40 mil. We're now in a position where they don't want to sell and they have us over the barrel. This could have been avoided if we negotiated earlier. I would be very surprised if we get many of the deals you mentioned over the line but would love to be proved wrong!

I was just saying with what they offer Invisibledot when negotiating. Danso is rated at £25m+ so I agree £16m is low but going way over and above is damaging for what we can do as a club as well on other transfers.
I think fans forget its a serious commitment with contracts of 3-5 years the norm you have to be able to plan for that period guessing Danso is on around £60k pw approximately.
I think the city approach is one of those the player wouldn't want to stay at Lens you'd want to go and play under Pep and the monsters that city are over the last 15 years.
Lens would have to set a transfer amount and maximise for there benefit.
We don't know when city entered the equation really Wolves could have been all set with Danso but that first week City went from a £20m to a £45m offer the urgency changes in a moment in football.
I personally think they have spent a lot of money in January think the defenders are a bit of a gamble. Fancy Marmoush to be very good though.
They are a machine though with revenue of £715m last year that's three times ours that's the harsh reality of this PSR it holds us back along with Newcastle, Villa, Spurs etc

Madman. Danso according to reports earns 23k a week at Lens. I would suggest that we are able to give him a very attractive package to come to the Mol. With our offers reported to be 16 followed by 18m the closer we get to the end of the window and with competition from Rennes perhaps now is the time to offer the full price and get the signature!

Rennes manager just been sacked, they may drop out! But I can't be the only one thinking that it's all abit of a farce. We've been interested for ages and we can't put a package together to bring him.

Abbey I also rate him plus from memory didn't we want 4m for him back in August when Stoke I think it was wanted him! I believe they only offered 2m so we wouldn't sell. If my recall is correct we really are not very good at this transfer lark are we!

Yep I think your right Ken, to be honest I can't fathom out how or why they deal this way, no doubt its all in hidden financial wheeling that I know nothing about, but it rarely seems to benefit the playing side of the club.
