Very disappointing few days to be honest.
I have always backed Fosun but there seems to be no real plan with the recruitment. I would assume that maybe Sa would have gone if a goal keeper had been found sooner. Guessing we sign Johnstone and Bentley will go to Arsenal. And Ramsdale will end up at Southampton.
The real worry is our defence though we need two cbs as none of the cbs we have are very quick. The young lad from Nantes looks promising but I don't expect Kouate this season.
I would sign a left back to balance the defence. Then play RAN further forward.
Another winger would be exciting.
But how can w not have a plan for Silva, Guedes, Podence and Sarabia.
Could be one unhappy squad this season.
Up to Gary to motivate them all.

Silva, Guedes, Podence and Sarabia are all represented by Mendes, I think. He needs to work overtime to move all or most of these on before Friday. All, at some point, have said they don’t want to be here or never wanted to sign in the first instance. None are going to be first choices, so if they can’t be moved on, I agree, they could destable the dressing room. Don’t see replacing them as a priority, everyone agrees our defence, in particular the left side, is where recruitment is needed. Unfortunately, I’m not hearing any names that are giving me confidence that we have this covered. If we don’t find the answer, then a return to a back five is inevitable.

Can't for the life of me think why we would want to get rid of Sarabia?! He got a third of our assists last season and as we've sold the other third (Neto) I would be VERY reluctant to see him go! If we sell him on the cheap it really will start to feel like we are trying to get relegated! ??

I like Sarabia Bullysboy but I just mean the lack of a plan if the players don't want to be here is concerning.
We need x2 cbs, a lb and a forward to replace Neto in my opinion as those 4 players are worth 8 goals a season like Neto.

Atleast we have a potential new keeper coming into the club peoples thoughts on Sam Johnstone? upgrade on Jose Sa? the defence needs additions clearly and this kid from Burnley would look a good edition but from what we saw against Chelsea surely we have enough quality going forward to open teams up

Fatcrispo it's a disappointing window for me. If they hadn't sold Neto it would have been a good one and they got a replacement for Kilman.
They haven't done that I understand letting young players have opportunities but Mosquera and this kid Koloesko look big risks in my opinion.
We have also tried a back 4 against 2 of the best sides in the country Arsenal and Chelsea when you consider money they have invested in squad. But Sa can't play with a back 4 in front of him Ramsdale and Patricio would have been better options in goal. £10m for Johnstone is desperate in my opinion but is an upgrade on Bentley.
We can't play that back 4 in away games and against top sides in the prem it will be a painful season if Gary continues with that formation.
We need a rb x2 cbs (with pace) and a lb that does that job well.
I would have sold Semedo as his wages are massive and we would have got a good fee for him.
Koloesko is a big young for me to bring in as a first team player but he does have potential not sure if enough to warrant £20m-£25m though.
Borges at Ajax looks exciting and I would have gone for Vargas that played for Switzerland in the euros but also plays for Augsburg in the Bundesliga. He is similar to Jota for a fraction of the cost and wouldn't disrupt the squad.
