Given we want a left sided CB and players who can play multiple positions, LWB and DM in this case apparently, thoughts on Renato Veiga (sp) of Chelsea.
Similar age to Lopez but vastly more experienced, (was virtually an ever present for Juventus during his 6 month loan period there last season), and a full international.
Allegedly on modest wages and available for a similar fee to that paid for Lopez?

Got to confess I don't know the player Tfig, but I also don't think Lopez is really one for this season, more another (money) Pot boiler.
So if he measures up as you say then he'd be a preferred choice for the 25/26 first team I'd think.

I confused myself there doog, I meant the player tfigwas on about wouldbe a preferred choice over Lopez who'd be one for the future.

Veiga would be competition for both Toti at LCB and H Bueno at LWB. He would also be cover for the 2 stars at DM.
WO I am sure we would have to negotiate a contract for him as with all new players but given he is currently on modest money that will be easier than if he was already on massive wages.
