They've announced the manager but not the length of his contact which is VERY unusual! So unusual that it can only really mean one thing, what we seem to have appointed is a very experienced Interim Manager! Reckon he's been asked to give us till the end of the season to prove we'd be a good choice for him?! Which is all well and good but Julen has a habit if bailing when he under a long contract let alone when he isn't! Let's all just get behind him and hope it turns out to be the perfect fit for both parties ?

Takes over on the 14th, our next game will be Boxing Day. Gives him plenty of time to work with the club and squad- the ones who don’t go to Qatar at least

A good appointment so let's hope we can look forward to a period of stability and football 'growth'. Also, let's hope we now get the CF we've desperately needed for over 2 years now and the re-balancing of a squad diminished and added to in a manner that can, at best be described as haphazard.

I see his title is Coach not Manager so presumably nothing structural has changed. It will be interesting to see if Lopetegui really does get his way with transfers, as reported.

BB I think you're correct, didn't Steve Davis talk about issues getting in wxperiencrd out of work coaches on a temporary basis. That said I guess Julen probably doesn't want to work in the championship if the worse case scenario occurs.
