Speaking of Sa, I don't think he did a quick kick even once today. progress!

Certainly a calmer performance NJW, there was concentration and determination throughout the whole team today.

I might be a bit premature here and mindful of the circumstances today, but after expecting Nunes to shine this season he seemed to be as underwhelming for them as he's been for us, time will tell.

Sa is a good keeper. We're fortunate to have him on a 4 year contract.
Now it appears that he is sorting out his kicking, he won't let us down.

Two things I noticed that is improvement from Cunha. One, on the first goal he busted his butt to sprint into position for the Neto cross. Two, on the 2nd goal, he didn't get selfish and laid the ball off to Hwang going forward and with the vision for the goal. Many times before, Cunha would have tried to turn on the ball and shoot himself. If he had done it this time, I think Ederson would have blocked it.

Thanks Phil. My playing and coaching instincts lead my thoughts. I didn't expect GON to go back 3, but was pleasantly surprised since I think it is best based on the players we have on roster. Plus, it is the only way we have ever won vs MC in the past few years.
I credit GON for the lineup, formation and the substitutions. I didn't see an issue with any of them.

I didn't see the game vs Ipswich and only saw the highlights/lowlights. i'm glad GON gave game time to some of those that haven't had any/much in a while.
Those that did watch the full game, I have already read about Bentley, but please offer your thoughts on the play of other new starters: Sasa, Sarabia, S.Bueno, Doherty, Toti, Doyle, Traore.

Sasa tried but got no supply (familar pattern there), Sarabia tried to get things going but tired., S Bueno had a nightmare of a debut was very poor, Doherty was he even on the pitch very poor, Toti did ok, Doyle annonymous his passing was all over the place, Traore stand out player deserves to play on Saturday.
I'm putting Doyle and S. Bueno's performances down to debut nerves so not going to slate them, the rest though the jury is out on them.

Thanks Rated. I saw the goals against and thought Bentley should have saved #2 and #3. The first one I understand no save as the striker through ball 1v1 and he had little chance.

I found the problem. When Hwang scores, we give up 3+ goals and lose. I guess we shouldn't play him anymore.

Belfast. Maybe but that was a great free kick perfectly in upper corner. Hard to stop period.

VB. We are already parking the bus. We are playing a 5-4-1, with our striker even coming back into our defensive 1/3. This is really the only way to beat City, by hitting on the break as we did w Neto.

I believe we can say the pre-injury Neto is back. He is the best player on the team and other teams are going to be offering a lot on money to take him from us. If we want to build this team into future we MUST hold onto him.

3-5-2, in game play will be more like 5-4-1, I expect. Either way with Dawson, Kilman, Toti, S. Bueno on the roster we should play with 3 of them across the back to strengthen our defense.

Agreed Abbey. Sa contract extension is good business. Do you think he got a little extra money after Bentley poor showing?
