Said on the bench, we just brought him in, I doubt we will have an 8 mil sub bro.

Got to bed new players in, or fans will kill them... Different with seasoned pros, but young talent from the Belgium league, we can't expect to come in and adjust to English football

Let him impact off bench, V tired defenders and less pressure on him.

He's got the full pre season to bed in. Last year was different, as the players came in so late in the window.

I think we should keep Hugo Bueno and sell Moller Wolfe. Hugo is homegrown and Moller Wolfe had a good World Cup. We could get better money for him.

Chewy, far from unrealistic but very concerning.
Sell most of the talent in the squad and only buy a new gk to go with the 2 excellent signings made previously.
That side would be a lower mid table side at best.
Defence is very poor, and although Raul is a class act, not sure the attack will be good enough to cover the inadequacies elsewhere in the side.
The bench is awful!
Surely the club will be more ambitious than this, and Trippier and Raul may feel a little let down if this is the case.

However, to be fair, they can't be unless they can shift the deadwood, and it appears that this is not, (unsurprisingly), proving simple.
Choices are a fire sale of the deadwood or, as you suggest, sell the better players.
Either way it is a disaster for the club.
Tks, Jeff.

I am not saying that's what I want. Just realistic, as I would love us to keep Kreji, Hugo, Mosq, J Gomes etc.

But, got to think sensibly here. They will push for moves, and bang on we will be left with players who we can't move on / who want to go but people won't pay £££ for, so either write off and ship on cheap or block new arrivals.

We brought in experience, and need to blend that with youth / players who have experience getting out the league (already missed out on a few shrewd signings like that).

There is a huge difference between the Prem and Championship, and players like Toti etc are more than good enough for that level (albeit not the marquee signings some Wolves fans would think we are going to get). These dependable players, who care, will form part of our spine next year (Doyle, Toti, Armstrong, Santi).

Chewy, a good, sensible, well-balanced post, which I agree with most of.
However, Santi - far too slow and far too weak - will be a disaster, and Toti (sadly, I do not agree with you re Toti) is just not very good.

As a pair, they will be torn to shreds, and, with potentially Bentley in goal, that side will ship goals for fun.
The bench is also truly awful, and a couple of injuries will leave the team very exposed.

Frank Munro was never the quickest, but he and John Mcall formed a good understanding. As do Santi and Krecji when they play together. Like the way you're managing the team, as well as the finances. tfig, we will soon be the best run club in the country!

Santi was one of the few who did well last year. And so is likely to go, but if you seriously think he’s not good enough for the Championship, I hate to think how much money you’d waste on unnecessary signings.

Tony Adams never had pace but did ok at a much higher level, as did John Terry and many others.

Central defending is more about the first few yards, which is more instinct and nous than pace, so as long as you have one quick CH, you can have a good slow one who can read the game and be in the right place, rather than needing to recover from bad positioning.

Flea, it is all a matter of opinion.
Bobby Moore had no pace either, and he and the other 2 you mention are among the best CBs in England in my lifetime.
However, your 2 were incredibly strong, and as you say, all three read the game incredibly well.
However, Santi is slower than all 3 of them, is not strong, in fact is weak, and although, as I have said many times before, is actually a perfectly reasonable footballer otherwise, he is no Bobby Moore.
Consequently, for me, Santi, who until his emergence last year was buried deep on the Wolves bench/reserves, is not suitable for the very physical Championship.

Ps, the view that he did well last year needs to be put into the context of a defence that conceded 68 goals last season.
Pps, if you read my previous posts I have detailed how much I would spend to create a side that would compete, and he is actually one of the few that I would replace. As I said, a matter of opinions.
