I'm a bit confused on Wolves striker search. Armstrong is there. Tolu has said he wants to help get Wolves back in PL. Wolves are being linked with Simms of Coventry, report by John Percy of the Telegraph, plus Wolves considering bringing back Jiminez. Plus, by all accounts, Wolves are still chasing Che Adams. If you had a pick, who would you choose.

Anyone but Armstrong, Adams or Tolu.

Raul by a country mile at Championship level, and he doesn't miss penalties.

You need to get into the box to get a penalty. So won't make a difference.

Raul and Simms for me.

Who would you choose between Tolu or Sasha?

Armstrong will be fine in the Championship - it's the Premier League he's not good enough for. If Raul came back, it would be amazing. He has a couple of years left in him yet. Sasa is a good player if he can keep fit.

Tolu deserves a change next season if he can show he'll work hard, or if there are no reasonable offers to move him on. Simms would be a good signing, but I'm surprised Coventry are willing to let him go.

Don't know if you've watched Armstrong and Tolu much, AcleWolf, but I haven't seen a lot to convince me, even the Baggies couldn't get rid of. Armstrong quick enough.

Armstrong will score goals in the Championship. I'd put my left nut on at least 20 goals and 10 assists across all competitions. Raul as the big man to complement him. Ideally, Wolves need one young striker as back up, and a forward who can do a bit of everything. Possibly the jack of all trades forward will be Mane.

Tolu, Sasa and Hwang need/want to go.

Tolu is lazy and will too often be a hindrance. No good giving fans your drinking tea celebration when you did SFA in the previous five games.

Armstrong scores and it's "right boys, stop poncing about and get on with the game."

Sasa is made of glass and wants to leave Wolves. Apparently his missus hates the area. Hwang doesn't offer enough. He too often goes missing. He's also probably had enough of being the hate figure at Wolves. His commercial value will get him a decent move.

I'd get some protection for that left nut zephyr

Watched both of them, B Hill - Armstrong has been around since his Blackburn days. He's a reasonable Championship player, but nothing more. Good enough to hopefully grab a number of goals for us in a league he has a lot of experience in. Also, you can't judge a player solely on one club. Some players fall off a cliff under certain managers, and at certain clubs, sometimes it doesn't work out.

He did well at Coventry in the lower leagues at the time, Blackburn and Southampton in the Championship.

Tolu, I've only seen him at Wolves. He's not handled the step up to the Premier League. Usually I'd reserve judgement for another 12 months, as players sometimes come good, but his work rate concerns me. If he isn't willing to work, he's no good despite it being a step back down next season.

If Tolu could head the ball on target, if he could kick the ball on target, he'd be OK. Armstrong does alot unnoticed imo, and with a working understanding alongside Raul will be OK.
Raul and Armstrong aren't necessarily 40+ game players, so we need a back up.

I can't see Tolu or Sasa as answers.
Adams, possibly, but only at a decent wage.
Simms, I've liked what little I've seen with Cov.

Writing us off already bux??? Let's see what happens, but I'll not write us off in June. Of course, even if we get the good players, Edwards still has to make them click & that is my concern.

So Abbey, u just realised Tolu can't do his job, well done, he couldn't hit a barn door from 2 yards, he is awful.

I'm sorry, but has Tolu not scored for us? You can question his attitude or his willingness to run around, but saying he can't hit a barn door is just rubbish. His record in Belgium and the quality of the finish on a couple of goals for us prove that.

At Championship level, he'll be fine. But, given that he and Armstrong are likely to be our only out-and-out strikers still here, and you need more than 2 for the long Championship season, links to at least 2 more make sense.

Tolu has scored 3 goals in 33 games, for context here that's as many as Santi Bueno scored in just 29 games! So, by that token, we can just start Beuno up front, can we?!
Tolu may well score goals in the Champ, only time will tell, but he has been woefully average this season, and scoring a meagre 3 goals doesn't change that. My bigger concern is, if he is fighting with team mates (as previously reported), only the club will know the truth of how that played out, but if he is at fault, then he needs to go.

We need a united team this season, and that means everyone getting along. Fighting in the dressing room exemplifies a club in distress; it's what was the beginning of the end for Gon. Edwards needs to make sure it's not happening again this season, else he will end up the same way as Gon did.

Raul should stay away from Wolves. Too many fans who will criticize him if he isn't prime 'Raul'. A lot of nasty Wolves fans. Just read the comments here. People have been predicting relegation for the last 6 or 7 years.

Never go back. That's the rule. Raul is past his best. The champ is tougher than the prem, so I'd look elsewhere. Tolu might cut it in the champ. Armstrong hadn't scored in his last dozen games before coming to us. 2 proven, 20-goal-a-season strikers are needed to get out of the champ, along with goals from midfield.

Who do we have capable of that? Nobody.
Lack of goals and creativity from midfield areas, poor finishing from fwd positions. Without quality transfers in, nothing will change.

Raul would never face criticism from any true Wolves fan. Not in a million years. Aside from Bull, he's the best striker I've seen at Wolves. He also received a life-threatening injury playing for the club. He's a God as far as I'm concerned.

He has more than enough quality to boss the Championship.

I'm a never go back regarding Nuno, but Raul is different. His very presence would bring hope and confidence back to the club and fans, and it'd lift us all before the new season.
He may not feature that often on pitch, but he'd still be there, and after Lopetegui, I think he still has some unfinished business to give us.

They're as rare as hen's teeth, Bux, and you say we need to get 2 proven twenty goal a session strikers. So does every other club on this planet. Unfortunately, we're not living in cloud cuckoo land.
