GON may be a good coach but he’s not a good manager. Sasa had scored 2 in 2 and has not been on since and Neto is constantly putting crosses in. His negativity about the Liverpool game when 7 of the players had beaten them 5 months before is incredible. Cunha could be a great no 10 or even attacking midfielder but he’s not a striker and Silva is like a headless chicken, I’d rather give Fraser a run as at least he gets into the box. We need to go 3 at the back and be tighter, then leave Sasa as the hood up player with Neto, Cunha, Hwang breaking to support him. I may not be a Premier League manager but it seems obvious to me ?‍♂️ Failing that yes get Potter in, if he’d come.

Potter was the 4th highest paid manager in the world when at Chelsea on £12m a season (£225k per week).

So even if we offered half of that, we'd be paying out over £100k per week.

Sheeny have to be careful as once again I was at a Vanarama fixture rather than at Luton - rather lost interest/faith these last few weeks sadly! - so haven't seen many, ( in fact just one!) game (s) this year but interested in your ideas.
Not sure we can play 3 3 3 1 as you suggest as I suspect we would be over run in CM or if you don't play WBs in your middle 3 far too narrow but.
How about 3, 4, 2, 1.
I would never have moved away from 3 at the back and don't think it has helped either offenively, the big arguement for doing it, or defensively where we are obviously far worse than previously - different players and managers probably a major factor in that as well though.
GK - Although many are v hostile to him not certain we really have an option to Sa. He just needs to slow down a bit - not rush out so often and definitely slow down his distribution. When you are the weaker team and we will be for probably 25+ games this year "eat the clock" not speed the game up unless chasing the game.
3 CBs - hard to decide who plays the middle CB as none look obvious sweepers - sold Coady and Neves the 2 capable of playing that role this summer.
2 WBs - we have options on both sides
2 CMs - again options - Lemina and 1 of Gomes, Traore and the new lad once back from suspension (?}
plus Neto and Cunha - our 2 most classy players behind young Sasa
Quite defensive but as we are conceeding far far too many we probably need to shore up that end before thinking how we are going to score - almost certainly via Neto or Cunha opening teams up with brilliant runs or crosses for Sasa?
Thoughts?

Future I have called for going back to a back 3 for a while, but it's almost like a policy decision was taken when Lage was appointed to plat a 4. I hope that is my paranoia, if I'm correct we are in deep trouble as the manager is not on full control of playing decisions. As you correctly say we've moved on players who could play there. In the case of Cody Twice!
