Tim Howard on PL Live on Peacock in the USA, states due to body mechanics Gomes arm wasn't in an unnatural position and really quite normal. Deflection off leg, so harsh to give a PK.

Guys, guys the actual penalty law states this was NOT a penalty - if it deflects on to a arm from another part of the body it is NOT, I repeat NOT a penalty.

So no matter what the numpties like Agbonwhatever say on Talk Sport its not a pen.

Barton. Yes, the deflection overrides whatever happens afterwards, but I was just pointing out as a secondary reason there should not bern a pk due to arm positioning argument of being in an unnatural position.
