Yet another summer transfer window shambles, last minute.com at best. The next opportunity will be the winter widow, as last year, to launch a rescue mission, I fear it won't work this time. Two out of three ain't bad but at some time the fat lady will sing.

My prediction for what it’s worth : only three teams can win the League, five or six will compete for European places, five or six will be safely mid - table, the bottom six will be ‘round about ten points adrift by January forming a ‘mini League’ going into the second half of the season, the five joining us will be the three promoted sides along with West Ham and Brentford, of the others I still see Man Utd and Spurs struggling to make the top half. As for our owners who’ve well and truly dropped us into a hole there’s a saying that comes to mind, “When you’re in a hole, stop digging”. We need to be asking why are Fosun still here? What do they want? Where are they taking our club?
