Thank the lord the Cunha saga is over hopefully the money can be invested in other parts of the squad if not my prediction VP walks before the start of the season

It was well known cunha would be leaving and for what fee when, Fcwolves. Discussions must have taken place to indicate what would be available. Other sales of course would maybe have been identified but income from and timing's of not.
What Fosun intends to do with the income is the question, if VP dosnt get the surety he feels he needs I'm sure he'll have other offers on the table.
It's in the clubs interest to get things sorted as soon as, and to that end give us the fans some indication of intent.
They're quick at asking us to pay our hard earned but not at telling us what for.
I hope it won't be another build up watching other sides buy players before us, rumours and clickbaits exciting us only to find we've 'missed' out on signings, ultimately leading to VP going and wolves facing relegation again.

I think VP and the recruitment team have a plan of action in place. VP has a history of short stints at any one club so if Fosun wanted him to stay for the long term, surely they would agree certain terms with him.
The club would have known since Cunha signed his new contract thay he was likely to leave so surely Matt Hobbs and his team have been busy identifying his replacement/s, likewise, if there is any truth in the Ait Nouri deal collapsing in January due to the paperwork being submitted too late, then they would be sourcing his replacement too.
From the rumours going around, it seems that VP will be given a modest amount of money in addition to the money generated from player sales. Cunha money will be used to buy 2 attackers and the AIT money to buy 2 similar players.
The time to judge the management is not now, but closer to the start of Pre season to see how Fosun have backed VP.

Losing your 'better' players doesn't necessarily mean bad news- just a quick look at Brighton departures over the past few years
Undav 26m
Caicedo 116m
MacAllister 42m
Sanchez 23m
Cucurella 65m
Bissouma 29m
Trossard 26m
White 58m
The trick is smart recruitment (and not just appeasing Uncle Jorge) and i'm not sure if Fosun's reluctance to reinvest is because they don't fully trust our recruitment team. The next few weeks will certainly be interesting and I truly hope VP will not get disillusioned with the project

Do you not think that Brighton would be a somewhat better squad if they had kept all those players then?!

Fosun's approach tends to be wait until the last moment and make distress purchases.
If they've identified two or three potential recruitments, they will play tyem off against each other.
It's how Jeff wheels and deals. It's in his blood.
