What's the point in signing the best youth players in hopes of developing them to be stars if we sell the very best to Liverpool when they're 16?

Because we don’t have a choice as he hasn’t signed a contract with us. Braden Clarke was the same and it happens to every club every year!
Liverpool and Man City have lost players to other clubs in similar fashion.
