Apologies to anyone who thinks a draw was a fair result on the balance of play, but once again, thanks to the Ref and VAR, we were robbed.

Watching the different angles it was obviously not a penalty so why VAR didn't direct the Ref to the pitch side monitor for him to see it smacks of bias.

It's funny that of three obviously controversial decisions this weekend only Arsenal's was subjected to the correct protocol. I rest my case, if there was a competition for teams adversely affected by refereeing incompetence, bias or just corruption, we'd walk it.

Did anyone else pick up on Lemina's comment in his post match interview with Whang. Basically saying that everyone there wants to be there and the performances are positively affected by that. So all the 'want aways' have gone now, or are not at the club, that has to be a good thing.

So keep going GON and the team, the Molineux is proving to be quite a problem for those who thought they would come and walk away with the points.

Agree with everything you say. Especially the point on why did the VAR officials not ask the on field ref to view it again on the monitor.
These VAR officials are gutless wonders. They should be sacked for gross incompetence. If they continually make these gaming changing errors with all the technology at their disposal, there's no point having it. Shambolic really.

Totally agree with you Longmyndwolf — as I have said on here before VAR as a concept is ok but it is just the people operating it who are at best incompetent or at worst corrupt with huge majority of decisions going in favour of so-called big teams or the ones going for European competitions

I'm afraid it seems to be every other match now.

Pre VAR it would have been given as a penalty but now we have it why on earth can it not be used to correct obvious mistakes?

I have to admit I was a doubter over gons appointment but he has certainly changed my opinion.with the recent performances and just hope neto isn't too bad.if he'd stayed on we wouldv won last night.playing like that we should fear no1.only var!

It's a fact, var and officials only brought in to protect the so called big clubs, and there input, money wise, into, salary's transfers, etc,
So it makes sense, the fa, don't want thes so called big clubs, in a relegation situation. And to drop out of the premier, it's never going to change.
We have to abide by it,
But we don't have to like it,
If a member of the public and TV pundits, cameras, show these buffoons, to be what they are, and they only come up with, I'm sorry,
Then it's time for a change by them
Or by the fans.
Something has got to happen, and quickly, what can the supporters do, we'll start to boycott, attending games, especially away at the big, clubs, who are benefitting from var, or must be something to make the hierarchy, sit up and take notice, surely

{Ed002's Note - Rubbish.}

Just had a look at the stats, Neto was top of the assists, if he's out for months it will be a big hit to take.

Can't blame people for thinking that way though ED mate, i've screamed corruption a few times but my one sensible braincell says the officials need training properly in var and until they are trained properly var should be suspended.

{Ed002's Note - It is not corruption.}

I don’t think corruption, just total incompetence of the highest order. Just look at the penalty they gave city today playing United. Way less contact than the hold on Sasa but given. It is just not a consistent level playing field with some refs and var giving things and others not doing the same.

My question with VAR as always been why? Footballs faster yes, cheating ( winning a penalty not being awarded one) diving and feigning etc on the increase, so the concept ok, but, at the end of it all is TV. It gives them more to show and debate. Does it add suspense? Yes but not to a good degree. Do we want goals disallowed for some players knee being just over a imaginary line? To sit waiting 5 minutes to see if an index finger touched the ball?. Then there's the apologies for getting it wrong, an admission VAR with all their camera angles get it wrong. Or can be manipulated to favour teams at their will? Scrap VAR or introduce a compensation for wronged teams in point additions to lessen the chance of 'favouratism'.
VAR dosnt work 100% its a pain for the spectators (in time it can take if nothing more). Its done nothing to clear up the faking it's stymied the attacking play, how on earth can a player ensure his elbow isn't offside in real time unless he delays his run?. The ref his 2 linesmen and assistant should be left to their jobs without escape routes to invisible judicature miles from the ground. Of course times like that at Liverpool when the champions league club didn't provide suitable camera angles/hadn't been checked pre match, to decide we'd scored a winner in the FA cup. I could go on with more examples but you know them all, and that's just us. Conspiracies will abound until somethings made clear. Didn't Dean say he didn't want to overturn a refs on field decision so to protect him?

{Ed001's Note - clubs do not provide camera angles or cameras or anything else. Any errors or lack of camera angles etc are on VAR itself and it's operators.}

OK Ed, but surely its still VAR who should check the angles etc before the game. I must admit I thought clubs had to be equipped with the tech once they're in the prem. I stand corrected.

{Ed001's Note - it is not up to the clubs, it is up to the VAR operators to set it up and calibrate it. No club has the expertise to operate it.}
