Is Tommy Doyle on a loan to buy? I just read somewhere that 'I will go back to city a better player". Does that suggest that there isn't a loan to buy option? I would hate it if that is the case.

Hi Doug just googled your question,

Doyle has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on an initial loan deal until the end of this season, with a £5million option to buy. City will receive 50 per cent of any profit Wolves make if they sell the 21-year-old.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves and let's hope the kid keeps his head screwed on, the lads 21 and had a good game yesterday against a struggling team playing with 10 men. Football is littered with promising youngsters who fade away.

Every cloud has a silver lining. And we had a few clouds at Wolves this summer. We sold Nunes to City and Jlo left. So many Wolves fans were devastated. Relegation. Forced sale of any good players etc etc. End of the world. Club being sold. That great deal to send Doyle to us was ignored. He's a £20mil plus player and City had to throw him into the Nunes deal cheaply to make it work. Jlo threw his toys out of the pram and we got GON. Very smart deals by Wolves. I predicted a 2-0 or 2-1 win against Bournemouth. GON is a rising young coach, with a very pragmatic approach. Keeping Bournemouth up last season was a minor miracle. When GON was appointed I forecast a lower mid-table finish for Wolves this season but I think it might be top half now. Watching Villa yesterday just reinforced how good our performance against them was the other week, not to mention how GON pulled the wool over Pep's eyes. Sure, we had some great results under Nuno against top teams, but we often struggled against the poorer teams. Nothing fazes GON, he's a man for all seasons. Now unbeaten in four, and improving!

At the moment we are 11 from 9 having lost the first 3 on the bounce playing a back 4. Its almost identical at the moment to Lages full first season, losing 3 on the bounce only taking 3 points from the first 5 and then ending with 13 from 9. We were in contention for the top 7 when we blew up against Leeds that season. Still early days with only a quarter of the season gone, let's see where we are at 19 matches gone.
