No wonder Everton are in financial trouble when they could have bought Coady for 4.5m and sold him to Leicester for 7.5 plus add one.

The period to calculate ffp ends on 30th June so our aggregate losses for 20/21, 21/22 and 22/23 so the incoming for coady,hopefully Collins and neves help stay inside/near to our acceptable loses figure. The next period is 21/22, 22/23 and 23/24 so our big spends last summer and January will still be relevant but the immediate challenge will have been addressed.

Don’t fully understand but end of June is a key date for ffp. Probably try to get outgoings done before end of the month and won’t start spending until 1st July. Only downside to this, is that everyone aware of financial position and will try to pay less than market value for players. We want £25 million for Collins but could settle for less if it can be sorted today.

To be honest Old I don't think such a clause COULD exist! It's like if I bought your house there is no way you can stop me from selling it on the very next day at a profit! Essentially if Everton had signed him we could have done nothing to stop it. I suspect it was more that with Evertons FFP position they couldn't have afforded to risk it (with his wages) if no one had come in for him so opted out. Bare in mind that he's having to go down a League (and probs also slightly in wages). Where as he could have just rocked up at Everton with a new contract and said 'I ain't going anywhere, if you don't want to play me fine' it's not like he's thinking about Eng caps these days.
Interesting to see that Pau Torres is on his way to Villa, I hate to say it but the guy is first class! We will need a pretty special window to compete at the same level at this rate! If we aren't careful we are going to be years behind them despite Fosun having a head start! ?
