The rumours circulating Twitter about Chris Wood rejecting a deal to sign for Wolves are untrue, a fee has been agreed and they are officially finalising the move, the deal SHOULD be confirmed by Thursday so expect some news, he is highly keen on the move to Wolves aswell and it looks like everything is going smoothly, the rumours on twitter are just lies that have been repeated by people that do not have any idea what is happening, also hearing that Liam McAlinden is being chased by Yeovil, Swindon Town and Walsall for a loan deal.

Kenny has come out and said he worn be signing and official wolves twitter have said the same. So there more than rumours!

Massively gutted he's not signing would have been a great signing and boost for the team.

Hope we actually go and sign someone and not use are usual Moto of we tried but they didn't want to come etc

Hopefully have other decent targets lined up and not make silly bids like wat we did for Clarke. Who was okay at best today. Mccary was awful I would loan him out and get a back up keeper in not good enough yet!

Good game sloppy at times and disappointed but this happens last year and we had a great season so hopefully do the same that's more important.

Just hope we sign someone decent

When people talk about not paying that little bit more to pick up Wood, I think they have in mind something like slip him a tenner and pay for his beer. Both West Brom and Leicester confirmed this a championship player at best. Jackett knows his worth and he also knows that we still have to keep paying the bomb squad. Our future lies with kids and that requires patience.

A striker rejected by West Brom - hmmm maybe missing out on him isn't a good idea!

seriously though his scoring record isn't great and I'm sure we can do better (I'd prefer to tie up the Max Clayton deal and sign one other promising striker).
