Wolves have signed 26 year old Japanese midfielder Hayao Kawabe from Grasshoppers. 18 appearances for the Swiss side scoring 4 and 3 assists from an attacking midfield role. They must rate him.

They have also brought our loanee Toti Gomes over from Grasshoppers where he's been since we signed him 18 months back. Left sided centre back/wing back he's been doing very well. A chance for Bruno to have a look. Don't forget we also have Bola the Hungarian international who plays on the right on loan there as well. Again makes you wonder why any interest in Doc.

Both will be returning to Grasshoppers on loan for the rest of this season.

I (probably like most have not heard of Hayao Kawabe) so I went for the lowest hanging fruit and had a look on YouTube. Now I always treat YouTube highlights with caution as it can make a very bad player look good (with the exception of Rajiv van La Parra) and Kawabe looks decent.

I say all this with an air of caution.

Jas yes I know, sorry should have added that. It's logical it's the Swiss break and gives Bruno a chance to evaluate them in first team training. Hopefully he'll see good things from them.

Both are typical fosun business young and hungry but not ready for the big time yet but we really don't need much some cover at the back everywhere else we are pretty much covered if all the injured players do in deed come back and hit the ground running soon as neto is ready we will see more goals I really think that will help Raul out so much its so easy for teams to just put 2 cb on him but neto back teams will have to come up with something different

Apparently, they bought the deal for Kawabe forward to this month as he is currently eligible to sign/play in the UK, whereas, potential future rule changes may have prevented it.
Sounds like the smart thing to do then, as Jas/Ken have said, leave him in Switzerland for the rest of the season, as he has been an important player for them.
