Tommaso Pobega is of interest to wolves . Currently on loan at Torino but AC open to sell end of season . Possible Neves or moutinho replacement

Not Neves Tinkerman, he has just re-affirmed his commitment to Wolves in response to alleged Man Utd interest in January. This came out during an interview with the Portuguese press and implied he may well stay in the Prem (hopefully with us) for the rest of his career.
Apparently, he also considers Vitinha to be one of the best.

I read that report too Longmynd but my view is that with Neves out of contract in 2024 he’ll be gone by the summer at latest. His form has been so consistent this season and with his best years still to come this is a no-brainer, he will be picked off.

In fact we just can’t allow his contract to run down like others in the team / squad. There is a massive re-building job to be done and with possibly Saiss and Moutinho gone in the summer too, it will involve some serious planning and consideration of the finances.

My plan: Lage to further enhance his reputation by developing some of our your lads and for Mr Mendes to provide us with some modestly priced gems of the ilk of Neves, Jota and Neto!

I think a contract extension is more likely 'Still a NES'. He's often stated how happy/settled he and his family are at Wolves. He is a genuine person and definitely no mercenary, so I can well believe that.
I would also suggest that he is central in Lage's planning, so I can't see Wolves looking to sell him. The other stuff you mention will go on around him.

I hope you are right Longmynd and I totally agree that his loyalty and service to the club has been exemplary.
My view is that other young players (from at home as well as abroad) might look at Neves as a role model and be attracted to the club to develop at a progressive Premier League club. This will help us move to that next level as an established top half club aspiring to attaining regular European football.

I think you make a good point Still a NES, players like him and Coady are quite rare these days and do their part in creating a close team spirit within the club. Even players like Moutinho and Semedo that have played for some big clubs in Europe seem to have bought into it. I think that atmosphere must help when attracting younger talent.

What we need is that all round goalscoring box to box midfielder that so many on here have been calling for to pair alongside Ruben Neves.

@Arddunby to quote the great Glenn Hoddle “he would be the final piece of the puzzle”
