According to The Athletic journalist (and former Wolves correspondent for the E&S) Tim "Britney" Spiers Fabio Silva will be "Heading for a loan in January if they {Wolves} can bring in a replacement."

Um that's a worry, as I've said before if he goes out on loan he loses half the value he has to us! If we loan him out then I fear that means we have given up on Fabio and are chasing the loss on his cost rather than the player anymore?! I know he splits opinion but (personally) I think that would be a real shame when we are this far in ?

Bullysboy ll I believe he will still count as homegrown unless he is loaned out to another league (Doherty went on loan in Scotland).
So we could recall MGW and send Fabio to Sheff Utd and he’d still be homegrown.

Your right that he would still count as homegrown to the nation (but then so does anyone that has come through in this country and we only need 8) what he won't be is one of those invaluable players homegrown to the club (of which MGW and Giles are about the only ones these days). And we need 4 of those, I always assumed that was the plan for Fabio cause its the only way of making sense of his fee! I just think it shows a change in approach and under the current climate I can't help but feel that change would be more focused on upping his 'sale' value above his value to our squad. Let's wait and see ?

He will probably get some game time tonight so that could be his last chance to impress this season

Bully, I don't think there is any way of making sense of Fabio's fee. We paid far, far too much for him. There's no clever way of fixing it, unless he can improve dramatically. Mistakes happen but the person or persons responsible rarely, if ever, admit to them. At least Bruno is in the clear.

Mistake or not of the fee paid Porto only got half of it. I believe it's still being looked at. His Dad got a wedge out of it! Imagine getting 5m for production!
