I see the papers and rumour mill are now claiming Hwang would be an upgrade on Origi and so Liverpool will be in for him in Jan. Obviously the reporters don't understand what an option to buy clause is (seeing as we have one in place as part of his loan deal) so unless Leipzig can pay us off Liverpool and City can't buy him.

I can understand rumour sites stating this sort of misconception but when paid journalists who should know better get away with it does make you wonder what they are being paid for!

We can't force Hwang to sign. If he gets his head turned, bigger signing on fee, wages etc. he can go where Leipzig allow. The agreement only works if player and club agree surely?

Didn't Hwang join Wolves to get game time, pretty much guaranteed thanks to his performances to date. Surely the option to sign is already a pre-agreed deal between all parties, with Wolves holding the cards.
I can't see Hwang wanting to go back to bench warming duties when he can play every week for us.

I explained this last week. Fifa rules stipulate that a player can be registered with 3 clubs during a season but can only play for 2. As he made 2 appearances for Leipzig, he wouldn't be able to play for anyone other than us or Leipzig (if they recall him).

We have a deal in place with Leipzig so if another club wants to hijack the deal there are 3 options:

Leipzig pay us a termination compensation fee and then negotiate with the other club.

The other club pay us a compensation fee to step aside.

The other club negotiates directly with us so that we buy the player as per the loan agreement and then immediately sell him on to the other club.

However the fact remains that Hwang cannot play for any other team this season and we will get compensation if Leipzig go back on the loan agreement. Its a win win for us in every circumstance.

Agreed on the above we hold the cards in this one.

It's happened before player is signed for the option fee then immediately moved on.

He has that super sub quality that would fit a bigger team. Don't see the sense in passing first team football up for that. He would be another shaqiri.

Highly doubt he won't be a Wolves player moving into next season.

Jas M.very clearly explained. Some sado journalists trying to create "clicks"

Jas M might recall if it's a similar situation to Tammy Abraham a couple years ago. Nuno wanted him, but he was owned by Chelsea and loaned to Villa. I think Villa were willing to step aside as they couldn't afford him. I think we offered £27mil to Chelsea but the deal broke down. It was probably against FIFA rules.

I don't think Tammy made an appearance for Chelsea that season so he could have joined us as we would have been the 3rd club he'd be registered with but only the 2nd club he actually played for.

Jas is correct (as per:) Tammy didn't make an appearance for Chelsea that season, pretty sure we agreed a fee but he was just holding out on the hopes of breaking into the Chelsea first team. And there in lies the challenge Sellars faces. Most young players would prefer to stick with their high wages on the off chance of a top four app rather than take their chances on a mid table gamble. Just one of those things sadly.
As for Hwang I think peeps need to remember anything read in a paper comes with a serious does of salt! Pool could have signed him anytime in the last two years (like us) for a fee of £12-15m! Just paper talk, probs started by his agent as he knows we'll be talking contracts come Jan/June! I love Hwang and think he's an excellent addition but let's remember the graft that Jota and Mane had to put in to get recognition. Mind you I hope we sign him, like I said an excellent addition. It does beg the question as to why Nuno choose Jose instead back in Jan last year?! Me thinks it was an early sign of rebelling against the transfer team, clearly we wanted him all along (we being the club) and now we are all seeing why ??
