Hope he comes back in the right frame of mind mate.

13 Aug 2021 13:13:29
Interesting, let's see if he gets shipped out on loan again!

13 Aug 2021 17:46:10
Well, he doesn't have a squad number so I doubt he'll be sticking around for long.

13 Aug 2021 17:53:38
Sounds like we're bluffing about Mir. What if they call our bluff? Interesting. If we're not bluffing it might mean Bruno rates him.

Good point Greg.

Remember the days where players DID remain professional and earned moves instead of sulking and moaning for a move away!?
Remember how angry we all were when it first started with Camara almost 20 years ago, now it's the norm.

Cutrone is a typical Italian cry-baby who has downed tools yet again. I appreciate he didn't want to come at all initially but then don't sign the contract, should have stayed at Milan and rotted there instead.

I remember when we played in the qualifying rounds of the Europa against Pyunik, they had an Italian coach who lived not far away, he told me 'he (Cutrone) will never make it in England' - I really hoped at the time he was wrong, but he got it right sadly.

A bit unfair Italia.
Nuno unsettled Cutrone. Whe nyou go to the games and saw how he would give Cutrone token minutes you could understand.
Nuno didn't manage his options very well when you think we had so many options that we could have utilised in europe.
I think a forward line of any 3 of Jiminez, Jota, Traore, Cutrone, neto would easily have got through the group.
Raul didn't need to play full games in europe.
Cutrone should have been used in european games and used as two up front as a change in tactics. If Nuno would have got that right we would have had a better season last year and better placed for this season.
Who ever Bruno chooses we need to give this squad time to evolve with brunos tactics.

He did use Cutrone in Europe, he started against Besiktas and we didn't score until 70+ minutes when Jota came on and scored a hat-trick if you recall?

13 Aug 2021 22:17:01
'Going to the games' makes no difference sorry!
He's still played his face to get moves and never wanted to be at Molineux - fact.
Totally agree Nuno mismanaged/ mistreated him from early on but his other two loans were both failures.
The correct attitude goes a long way.

Neither Cutrone or Mir are what we need. Former has failed to produce wherever he went on loan, including back to Italy. Mir had disastrous loans to Championship and Spanish second tier. Scored some goals last term for Huesca but was their penalty taker. Bringing disgruntled players back to where they don’t want to be is a recipe for disaster.

He also hit the post twice against everton away earlier that season.
You can't judge a player on one game.
It was definitely a case of mismanagement on Nunos part. i'm sure he had injuries as well.
I don't think he is the answer.
But it would be good to hear his view.
I think he came and he did show effort as that's why some fans sing for him.
But I think injuries and miss management led to the fall out.
If I remember rightly Besiktas had played champions league recently so they were never going to be a push over.
Thrn I think he was sent on loan last january 2020. And with C.V. and restrictions it was difficult for him to get settled anywhere.
Even our firat team struggled last season and I would say a big factor in that was not being able to see family. Small squad size etc etc etc.
And maybe his agent has been putting the feelers out. Its tough though as he is prime age to be playing regularly. He wants to be developing and i'm sure he would have had his eye on this years euros.
So do you blame him?

Did Nuno actually mis manage him though? Cutrone was playing for his boyhood club AC Milan, was adored by the fans and wanted to stay but had to leave due to AC Milans meed to sell to comply with FFP as they had been fined.

Cutrone arrived in the country alone and was missing his family (mainly his girlfriend) who didn't want to leave Italy for personal reasons. This caused Cutrone to be unhappy as he couldn't settle in the area and found that he missed his family. Nuno tried to rectify this by allowing Cutrone to fly home about once every 2 weeks but still Cutrone wasn't happy and has stated that he never wanted to leave Italy. Nuno couldn't play an unhappy player who although clearly had the talent, was never going to be 100% committed to the project and so loaned him out.

I have nothing against Cutrone but its clear he doesn't want to be here so we should do our best to get rid of him. This us very much a Jelle Van Damme scenario again.

Mixed feelings about Cutrone. You're right in what you say Jas, I remember him being interviewed at the airport, he was in shock. He simply did not want to leave Milan, let alone Italy.

But on the flip side he's a professional footballer and as such, you have to accept these things so if you're sold you have to adapt and get on with it. I don't think he wanted to accept this which would have been like a red rag to a bull for Nuno, hence the fall out. This lead to Cutrone accusing Nuno of having his favourites and it's been downhill ever since. We should forget him and move on.

I just think its a lesson the club should learn.
I think he could have been useful if we had given him a chance to integrate into the team.
Im sure another youngster will be snapped up in the not to distant future.
Id say Fabio Silva had a better experience than cutrone.
Both players can play anywhere as a forward both technically very good.
Cutrone and Silva may be the link we need between midfield and Raul.

If we manage to get a cb with pace, Palhinha and Carlos Vinicius that would be a terrific summer.
Dream signing would be getting Jota back from Liverpool.
Coutinho and Bernando silva would be out of this world.
And I still think we need a left back on loan. Just don't have confidence in Marcal over a season.
Saying that Jonny and Neto are expected back between November and January?

Your third and fourth paragraphs totally explain your moniker.

14 Aug 2021 23:41:59
