Yes just seen it on BBC sport.

Not quite how I read it, a strong favourite is what was quoted.

BBC says Nuno's agent is 'expecting' to receive an offer in writing from Everton.

Sky, BBC and all the major newspapers are saying he has the job. They are now going a step further and saying why he has it and that he apparently has a huge transfer budget.

Personally I think this lends credit to both stories. That he left because of money and also that he was sacked. I'm not sure how I feel about him taking over another Prem club. Especially one we consider a rival in the sense of battling for be breaking top 6. But oh well.

As nasty as it sounds I hope he plays defensive football and has no back up like he did here. I also hope he has no plan B for them and that under Lage we score like Benfica did under him.

Nuno to Everton looks a done deal, although not done yet. Will be interesting to see Bruno versus Nuno next season and the contrasting styles. Realistically, Nuno will have a better squad with Everton, and will be much more of a threat to us than if he went to Crystal Palace. Bruno will have his work cut out. Will be strange seeing Nuno in the opposition technical area. There's no turning back, Fosun have to step up and support Bruno in the transfer market.

Got over missing his family rather quickly didn't he?
Anyway Nuno is the past we'll be forever grateful for what he did at Wolves but the now is Bruno, know what I mean Arry?

Well what this does show is the Fosun are absolutely ruthless in their persuit of success and Nuno's 3 years of amazing progress counted for absolutely nothing when measured against 1 year of relative failure.
No excuses were allowed: the injury crisis, the appalling transfer business done (even though all the evidence would appear to show that the transfer business was not even done by him! ) or even the abscence of either a rest for the squad or a preseason - ironically due to our hugely succeful season the year before.
Clearly however whilst Nuno has carried the can Fosun are not stupid by any means - you don't get to be a multi billion dollar company if you are stupid - so Fousn HQ ( i. e. Shi and the club's ultimate boss) will now be on notice and further failure will not be accepted.
If my experience in dealing with companies from the far east is anything to go by - I worked for 3 Japanese firms includng spending time in Tokyo - Shi, if Lage is not an immediate success, may well find himself promoted to run a business for them in the USA. Sadly for him though not one that operates out of LA but a v small one based in Juneau. It will be a long posting taking him all the way to retirement.
We can therfore be certain that everyone from Shi down to the ground staff is now fully focussed on making sure next season is a success.
Fingers crossed especially for Jeff as it gets v v cold in Juneau!
