Alex telles done deal 25 million.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Sep 2020 07:25:24
Brilliant but I think we need a British player next. Who? Not sure.

08 Sep 2020 08:16:07
Papers say he's off to United.

08 Sep 2020 08:16:08
Alex telles agent in Manchester apparently. Utd ready to sign him . Any more updates?

08 Sep 2020 08:27:52
Just read Man U are discussing terms so not very likely he's coming to us.

08 Sep 2020 09:31:55
Unless we have loads of cash available, who knows? Max Aaron's at about 20m could be ok. Plus he's English that has to come into play as well. Most of our players don't exactly come from Oxley do they!

08 Sep 2020 10:05:13
Tellers is going to Utd. Stop posting a player has signed for us when he hasn't. Twitter is completely unreliable unless they are connected with Wolves.

08 Sep 2020 10:15:32
How would he play at United with Shaw and Williams there?

08 Sep 2020 12:25:12
Maybe because he's better than Shaw and more experienced (and better) than William's. Maybe we could have the bargaining power by using Vinaigre.

08 Sep 2020 12:50:14
You beat me to it Nuno, if United are in for him it's because Shaw and Williams are both pretty average! Shaw especially, he puts another stone on every summer! 🤣.

{Ed001's Note - Williams is a right-sided player who is playing out of position on the left, so they do need a left-back, as Shaw is not good enough.}

08 Sep 2020 12:52:08
Also there are no flights scheduled from Portugal to Birmingham.

08 Sep 2020 12:59:37
They should start direct flights, the number of people who would use it!

08 Sep 2020 13:12:46
SQ shhhhh! You know what happened last week.

08 Sep 2020 13:38:33
United are also in for Reguilon from Madrid.

08 Sep 2020 13:41:13
Got to agree about the need for some English players. Does anyone know how many we need to have in a match day squad? If Dion goes out on loan again I can only think of Coady and ruddy who would qualify?

08 Sep 2020 13:44:14
Ed has it correct. Shaw is crap and Telles is United bound. Think West Ham might be sniffing after Vinagre.

08 Sep 2020 14:54:41
Wolfie- No one is certain what the quota will be (especially post Brexit) but the early suggestions were it would remain the same. So 8 homegrown players minimum in a full squad. That said as has been discussed before players under the age of 21 don't need to take a registered place as such (if that makes sense) so our squad will be fine for the next couple of seasons. Also bear in mind that by bringing Fabio into the club at 18 (I would need to check dates) but he is likely to count as a player homegrown to the club in three years time which would be great! I do think peeps have a point on this though, doesn't really matter at the moment cause our team is young but if we want to be playing regular Euro footy going forward Homegrown quotas needs to be considered/ planned for now. Mind you with everything we've seen from Fosun so far I am sure they a MORE than prepared/ organised to deal with it ;)

08 Sep 2020 15:01:31
PS- also its vital to remember in this that Homegrown does not necessarily mean English! Asmir Begovic is homegrown, as are many players from other countries. Basically it all comes down to what age said player is when they first signed a contract for a club in this country and if they stayed at that club for the first 3 years (minimum) of there career.

I'm sorry I disagree.

Brandon Williams has done a very good job for united covering Shaw. Also they have pressure to promote academy.

Shaw in on 9.8 million a year which is approx 190k a week wages.

I just can't see Telles going to make up the numbers. At his age he will want to be playing. I agree Utd have CL football.

But he could be part of something very different at Wolves.

08 Sep 2020 16:29:51
Madman- Unless they are selling Shaw, wouldn't surprise me. He's pretty average especially if he's on that wage, mind you that works both ways cause whos lining up to pay Luke Shaw that amount of money?!

08 Sep 2020 16:31:04
SQ whilst there is every chance you could be correct I sure as hell wouldn't want to get on a plane with you! We're going to crash. 😂😂😂.

08 Sep 2020 16:44:40
Exactly bullyboy.

I just can't understand how most clubs didn't know portos FFP issues.

Wolves have two youngsters practically signed from Porto then out of no where utd are interested in telles.

The only reason for utd been interested is that either wolves aren't or telles wants champions league football.

But as you say where will Shaw go with his bonkers wages? Where will all these players go that are unwanted at top clubs. Maybe China?

08 Sep 2020 22:24:11
I agree Mad, also add to that Sancho is clearly still their main target. And he looks likely to command a NINE figure fee! With huge wages and signing on fee to boot, that's a chunk of change even for United!
