I know I will get the height of abuse but I have heard that Podence deal is dead and no backup on the horizon. Very disappointing as we had a good chance to really push on . Sheff Utd and Leeds signings today were a real surprise would have been good for us at a total cost of 17m.

If it doesn’t happen then that’s that, I have seen twitter rumours that they have upped the price at the last minute. My only problem with all this is if there isn’t a back up in place and we are relying heavily on Mendes what exactly is the point of Thelwell?

It's been reported by both Spiers and Nash that the Podence Transfer will go through Tuesday or Wednesday.

To be honest it's hardly the end of the world if we make no signings as we've now got a fully fit squad with no FA cup to worry about. Quality over quantity in my book and if we can't improve with quality forget it. The January window was always going to be difficult.

Don't care why the deal fell through. Fosun promised nuno the biggest transfer budget in January. It ain't happened. So I think come summer nuno will leave. because the money men ain't backing him.

When did Fosun make this promise demon? And why would they make such a promise when they have come out and said that January window is the worst time to buy due to over inflated prices and how little time the selling club have to find a replacement.

WOLVES CONFIDENT ON PODENCE
Wolves are optimistic they can get a deal done for Olympiakos winger Daniel Podence, despite talks between the clubs and player carrying on for almost a week.
Olympiakos are reluctant to sell the former Sporting player, who is still training with his club in Greece, and want at least £21.5m for him.
Talks, however, are ongoing and it’s believed a deal can be reached before Deadline Day.
