Just as I feared, and posted yesterday, Podence deal is off.

That is not confirmed from anything I have seen?

Unless you have a concrete source on that.

The deal is still being ironed out. Is all I'm taking from this last 24 hours. Nothing is dead yet.

No concrete source but you could see how it was going with how Wolves operate. We either sign players completely out of the blue or if a big signing is 'leaked' it gets done and confirmed almost immediately. Nothing that's in the public domain and then drags on and on never gets over the line.

The Neves and the Troare deals both surfaced weeks before they completed and also both dragged on until virtually the end of the window so not sure that's always the case?!

I'm told Wolves are hoping to wrap up the permanent signing of Daniel Podence tomorrow. Final details being ironed out and he's been left out of the Olympiakos squad today #WWFC @TheAthleticUK.

that was yesterday mate, he's updated it in the last half hour, still on apparently.

27 Jan 2020 14:49:52
That was yesterday. He is not signing today. He is still in Greece!

How can you just say 'deal is off' without having any source of information? Deal is done, trust me. It will be confirmed this week. Let's just have patience. My source is Tim Spiers and the I work in Compton so I speak to people about these things.

Regarding Daniel Podence - I'm told the deal is still on. As per the below tweet, contract details are thought to be the hold up

People have very short memories. We now look back on landmark signings such as Neves, Boly, Patricio, Jimenez etc., and think they were got over the line in no time at all. That's simply not the case. There is no difference with today's prospective signings; they may take time, they may feel frustrating. They may give fake fans the
ammunition to say Fosun have lost interest. Genuine fans understand.

We are light years ahead of that sorry era when our striker signings were Grant Holt, Leon Clarke etc.

So true Deep, Traore took two windows to get over the line if the club had listened to some on here they would have either just thrown double the wages at him or worst 'moved on to bigger names' either of those choices would have been detrimental to the balance of the current team! that's the frustrating part the signings so far have been fantastic yet people still like to talk about the owners like they don't have a clue what they are doing!
