According to Skysport, Cutrone has this afternoon agreed a deal to join Fiorentina.

Looks like Cutrone wanted to leave don't think he ever wanted to leave ITALY and with the lack of appearances for wolves you can't blame him really.
I'm sure he will be a great player for his new team and country so I wish him all the best think we may have missed out on top player here.
But has Nuno got a replacement coming in I hope so.
In Nuno we trust. Always wolves🐺🧡🖤.

Good, we need better. Works hard no end product, we need better.

09 Jan 2020 18:50:10
Then we should get rid of Diogo and Pedro, too.

09 Jan 2020 20:26:06
Get rid of Doherty too! Imagine wanting hardworking players in a starting eleven? ewwwww.

I believe Cutrone was fantastic under the circumstances:
• Forced out of his boyhood club.
• Speaks very little English
• Only the cleaner speaks Italian at the club
• Didn’t have a pre-season under Nuno
• Never given a run of games
• 9 starts 3 goals 2 assist
• Most starts were in a formation that didn’t suit him or they weren’t the first team players around him
• Worked his bollocks off
• Showed an astounding amount of passion.

If Wolves want to take the next step they need better than Cutrone! Mediocre at best! And eventually a lot of the present team, especially back 3 will need upgrading but that will come in time. At the moment we need 3 quality players down the spine so injuries suspensions and tiredness don’t affect us. No sentiment in football if u want to achieve more.

I’d have been tempted to drop him back a bit- as an attacking midfielder. Which most of us think we need. His hold up play and passing may have suited him in that role.
I know he’s normally an out and out striker. But he wouldn’t be the first player that Nuno changed position with, to the teams and players benefit.

Blimey Bridgo, are you his agent. Spanish and Portuguese are very similar to Italian so the lingo would have been no problem whatsoever. The big problem is that he just isn't good enough.

09 Jan 2020 22:19:13
Completely agree with Bridgo. And he will prove he is good enough. Nuno has messed up big time with this one I think. Especially as there is no sign of us replacing a 23 million quid striker with anyone at all!

They are different languages. That’s like someone saying to the someone English “you share some words with the French, you must understand the language. ”.

09 Jan 2020 23:24:19
The only commonality Portuguese / Spanish / Italian have is that they're all derived from Latin. That's like going to Barcelona and saying "ado' pal, alroight am ya? " and expecting a reply.

Personally, I think Cutrone was unhappy to leave AC Milan and didn't want to play for a rival club in Italy. The move to Wolves was more or less forced upon him due to Milans need to sell in order to comply with FFP which had already resulted in them forfeiting their Europa League spot.

Cutrone tried to make it work but alas, he missed his family back home in Italy. Nuno has picked up on this and knows that an unhappy player was never likely to succeed but couldn't offload him whilst the transfer window was closed. Cutrone clearly does have the talent to be a success unfortunately circumstances took him in a different direction.

The fact that he was used sparingly was because he was unsettled. I wish him all the best and hope in the future, if the circumstances are right, he may return.

How many people were saying last season that Traore wasn't good enough?!

I was laughing at Debbie McGee's post not Jas M and StattoWolf's

10 Jan 2020 10:24:40
Jas, I think you've hit the nail right on the head there. It's a shame as he will be a world-beater at some point, but his confidence was destroyed and he's unhappy. Life's short and a football career is shorter. I wish him all the best and can't blame anyone in this situation (except maybe Milan) .

Wolves are looking at Gabriel Barbosa on loan with option to buy. Can play ST and RW. Cover for Raul and Traore with eye for goal.

10 Jan 2020 14:10:15
Wolves linked with Matheus Cunha from RB Leipzig according to Sky Sports the deal would be around 17m. Replacement for Cutrone.

10 Jan 2020 14:49:44
Brigo is you think Cutrone works his b's off then we've been watching different players! Yes he works but not in the same league of work rate as Raul. whos's 5 years older! He also had a habit of working around the ball but doing little to create chances off it (again see Rauls natural game, they guy does NOT stop sprinting;)
Also don't give it the 'forced out of his boyhood club' and doesn't speak English nonsense. I mean cry me a river! Fairly sure the club would have offered language lessons for free and NO one forced him to take what was almost certainly a decent pay rise! I actually think he is a good player and one day will be fairly prolific. but I also think some players just can't handle moving abroad (how many English player manage it? ) . fair enough his life. But that doesn't necessarily mean anyone's to blame, sometimes these thing don't work out and you just have to cut your losses and move forward, just the way life can be sometimes. Good luck to him either way ;)

He was forced out of Milan, he didn’t want to leave but they needed to raise funds. And yes I’m sure he was learning English but he’s been there less than 5 months, it would be weird if he did learn it so quick. It’s also he can’t speak his younger, pretty much every player shares a language with someone:
Portugal- Rui, Vinagre, Neves, Joao, Jordao, Neto, Jota, Raul.
French- Boly, Dendonker, Saiss.
English- Ruddy, Kilman, Bennet, Coady, MGW.
Spanish- Adama, Jonny, Vallejo
Italian- Cutrone, the cleaner
We can’t even judge if he suits English football, he was hardly given the chance. Every time he came on he constantly pressed the defence, not sure what game you’ve been watching.

10 Jan 2020 18:16:11
Clearly been watching the same games as Nuno which is why we have played Neto and Jota as strikers over the Xmas period when resting Raul. even then he didn't rate Cutrone enough to start him! I love that you think 5 months is not long enough to get the basics of the most commonly spoken language in the world. I have several Eastern European friends who didn't have the luxury of lessons or a tutor that would disagree, essentially it comes down to how much you want to learn something! He didn't leave cause of a language barrier he left cause he missed home. Which is fine by the way, just not the clubs fault is all ;)

The big difference is that Traore always had the talent but it's taken Nuno and team to properly focus that talent. They must have decided that they couldn't do a similar job to Cutr6. By the way my dad spoke Italian, and was able to converse with Spaniards on holiday, a bit like I can just about converse with the Scots.
