Long time follower on the site but 1st time post. Reading some of the comments as of late I felt it was time to register and give my own opinion.
Coady leaving is no doubt a surprise. Truth be told I am gutted as a player leaving who has so much impact on and off the pitch will always be a loss. But in my opinion he owes us nothing. He has been a constant part of our team for so long. People are posting and slating him for wanting regular football to increase his chances of playing for his country?! Surely that is the goal for almost all professional footballers. Seems people are forgetting that the reason he was called up for England was down to recognition for everything he did for OUR club! Like I said I was surprised he has gone, and even more surprised at his valuation, but clearly Lage has a plan for what he wants from the team and if players don't fit then that's that. I imagine people criticised Nuno for changes he made but look at what he achieved for the club as a bigger picture. Things change and as fans we just have to deal with it whether we like it or not.I'm very excited about the arrival of Guedes and hopefully there will be a couple more additions to the squad, just wish people weren't always so negative!

Welcome wolvesNutta, we're all 'gutted' at coadys move but I'll mention a couple of points, firstly he's gone on loan so there is no 'fee' in transfer sense, this could be so that conner wasn't deprived of a move to ensure regular games in which to stake his world cup place, and if so it's a gesture of goodwill in recognition of his service to us, we could of demanded a hefty sum?.
Secondly he's only having that England chance through Nunos coaching and his performances with wolves, sure he's got the talent but nuno spotted it and we were the platform.
There's been some spiteful comments on here towards him which are not very generous or considerate given his service for us and the lad wants to stake is claim for a world cup, something he'd have limited chances to do here under Brunos plans.
The squad is thin as we keep saying and wolves loaning out without ensuring we've enough back up baffles, but in coady's case I can accept it wish him well and thank him, he's a legend in wolves history and its sad he couldn't have had a farewell send off at molineux, but then again, he hasn't 'gone'.
One little thing I didn't understand however, maybe it was a goading photographer PR media thing, was the Everton badge business. I know he wants to let the toffee fans he'll do his best but I thought it a bit childish and insensitive to us wolves Nuttas. But it's onwards with Brunos plans some exciting prospects beginning to emerge now, I'm excited by it all, we can only hope it works out. COYW

Morning and welcome WolvesNutta.

I guess change can effect peeps differently some don't like it more than others.

I am looking forward to Guedes I watched highlights of him on YouTube and I liked very much of what I saw.

Roll on Saturday 3 points to The Wolves.

Welcome to the site WolvesNutta. You're right Coady leaving was a shock to many but inevitable given the re-shaping of the defence. It's just unfortunate that it's happened in a World Cup year. Non of us like to see good club servants leave and there's been a few over the years and there'll be more in the future.
Still onwards and hopefully upwards, looking forward to Guedes.

I don't know how much Coady was on per week.
But as I don't know and say for arguments sake he was on 50k per week.
Over the year are club has got 2.6 million off the wage bill.

I can remember when started work in 89 the factory had the littkewoods pools coupons sure the jackpot was 1 million.
Also when a kid my dad used to have the coupon man come round the house with the pools.
My dad used to let me do the spot the ball.
Lol do you think we ever won the spot the ball?
won sfa lol.

His agents cimments say it all, the club acted in the players interest. These events are difficult and sometimes a little time needs to pass but I'm not sure the player has truly acknowledged the fact that a player under contract was allowed to leave as eaaily as he was. I would have rather he stayed but fully understand the reason for him going. In my opinion the clear winner is EFC out of the three parties involved.

Abbeywolf. The Everton badge thing is to dilute the fact he is a red and came through Pools youth system. Nothing to do with Wolves.
