I am frustrated as most with the lack of signings and the glaringly obvious thread bare squad that we have but still think we will have a decent season. It’s just so annoying to think that if we had a few more players brought in last January we could of been in Europe this season with more pulling power.
The prize money we got for finishing last season- is that allocated for wages and staff? Surely we can use some of that to get a striker through the door and an attacking midfield player.

vbwolf : Might be coincidence but Nuno is a personal friend of Jorge Mendes, our best signings were convinced to come and play for Nuno, since Jota was sold (for what was a ridiculously low fee) and Nuno was forced out of the Club, Wolves haven’t done anything of note in the transfer market, Bruno on the other hand doesn’t seem to have many, if any, useful contacts in the game, has openly said he wanted three players in each window which leaves him at least eight short of what he wants, that’s if we’re counting Hwang, with a Manager that can’t convince his Bosses to spend and our Super Agent friend of our ex Head Coach giving up on us, it looks like more frustration is heading our way in bucket loads.

Oxley-quite right, not just personal friends in fact Nuno was also Mendes first ever client! So your right they go way back, I've never really thought about it but Jorge has definitely gone AWOL and as you say it could definitely have something to do with the way things went with Nuno ?

Don’t forget Fosun should have some leverage with Great Uncle Jorge, they have a 20% stake in his business. Don’t give up on signings yet!

Man U, Chelsea, Leicester and I’m sure many others are not signing the quality or numbers of new players they expect - however Chelsea may be the new home for Adams - if some rumours are to be believed.

Oxley. That's possible Great Uncle Jorge has backed off since Nuno left. Another thing that seems to have changed is the resilience of the players. We played a record number of games when we were playing in Europe on a small squad and hardly any injuries.
We haven't even started this season and players are injured. I'm no training expert, so an observation.

Goggs- I suspect that's partly because the back room staff that left with or before Nuno. Phil Hayward was head of Sports Science and left during Nunos last season, Antonio Dias was head fitness coach and left with Nuno (he follows him everywhere and went to Spurs). What's interesting/worrying depending on how you see it is that we took on six new staff for the medical team around this time last year. Of course the idea was to improve our injury record, I would need to see the numbers but on the face of it I'm not sure the revamps worked for us yet?!
