Now corbinou being loaned out to Blackpool, not his biggest fan but he is a tall forward isn't he.? Unbelievable.

Agree0 Disagree0

I stand by everything I post my outlook.
I acknowledge there is understandable concerns about having no striker I have thought that all along.
Now the worse case has happened jiminez injury it is clear its no surprise as I agreed with Arddunby regarding injuries and suspensions.
*hit happens now is the highest time for our club our manager our players to stand up and be counted in extreme adversary.

Is Lage system operational with coping without a striker?

We will find out once the season is away.

The posts on 5 subs our thin squad is not questionable but surely our club is prepared for it.

I acknowledge it is very confusing the direction our club is going regarding signings as fosun don't let out much to fans/media.
It's left with all questions and debates amongst fans.

I agree Abbeywolf. I really try to be positive about Wolves present situation. I read yesterday on Banter that some think we could end up in the top ten. Sorry, but now without a lack of investment (or even the intention to pick up a few out of contract players) and sending players we could use out on loan. I am not surprised that Wolves are now favourites to go down because that is realistic prediction. But like anyone else, I want to be wrong.

28 Jul 2022 09:23:01
I posted something similar Phil but must have got lost in the ether, I find it unbelievable that so many on here are critical of owner who have bought us top flight football with continual top half finishes for the first time in a long time. Let’s judge the team after a few games, no need to panic, I’m sure fosun have a plan. Obviously if anyone here is an owner of a football club then maybe they will know what they are talking about. Otherwise let’s just chill and wait and see. Being negative and worrying isn’t good for anyone.

28 Jul 2022 09:26:23
The right Phil debate amongst fans is quite normal and actually it shows how much they care about the club. Wolves have developed a knack of putting us through it at this time of year but generally we go on to do ok during the season. Sometimes I think they make things harder than it needs to be but that's because they're pushing for better players who hold out for 'better offers' I'm sure.
However, we also get the usual suspects that only come on here to post their negativity when the club suffers a setback. It's quite legitimate to post doubts and concerns or positivity when it's due but constant negativity in every post says more about them than the club imo.

28 Jul 2022 09:26:29
Very well said phil. I also feel after a night's rest that it isn't the end of the world to lose raul, we have many more approaches that can produce goals, (so far he scored a pen, capitalised on goalies mistake, all the others produced from passing and 'lucky' header not forgetting the unexpected kilman run). As you point out phil it's fosuns, Jeff's Scott's silence around recruitment and the decimation in loans that fire our unrest. I, as always, also will look on the bright side and am positive, but the club are behaving very oddly to me as an outsider and we do need some explanation in the reasonings.

Fosun, I think, are a different type of owner than most if not all other Premiership owners. They are in football not because they love it or as an ego trip or to try to wash there human rights records but for the money.
They brought Wolves for £30m and invested £125m, set up a holding company Fosun Sports, chairman Jeff, and set up esports, fashion and gaming using wolves intellectual property IE the Wolves brand.
Wolves players are estimated to be worth £300m so the return on Fosuns is north of 20%. Very acceptable for any business.
My point is will they increase investment in the club to increase returns or make it self financing'
They sold, I think, 20% of Fosun Sports to Peak6 for £60m. I wander what they did with that.

Goatmark I saw your similar post didn't reply as the negative posts throw me so apologies for that.
I know you will enjoy the build up to the new season and it feels great sharing that with you Abbey and everyone else.
Abbey I read corbinou may play agaisnt Stoke the wknd.

Longmynd I have a tune for the doubters/negative lol
Talking heads
We on a road to no where.

As wolves fans we are all imo battle hardened through the years pre fosun.

Good choice Phil. Personally I'd rather appreciate what Fosun/club have achieved in recent years, accept that we are in a period of consolidation and look forward to the future but happy to call the club out if I think they deserve it.

Every bursted bubble has a glory
Each abysmal failure makes a point
Every glowing path that goes astray
Shows you how to find away
So every time you stumble never grumble,
Next time you'll bumble even less
For up from the ashes
Grow the roses of success

Not sure where this favourites to go down twaddle comes from. As of today Wolves are 11/2 to be relegated and 7 clubs are shorter in the betting, namely all three promoted clubs plus Leeds, Brentford, Southampton and Everton.

28 Jul 2022 16:54:35
There is no lack of appreciation to Fosun from me, equally I think they should consider the fans. It's only right that some level of explanation be offered when it would appear our team is being depleted without reinforcement a week before the season starts. Why? Are we In dire financial straits? Do we have a strategy? Are we not able to compete financially with others in wages etc.? Personally, if we keep neves MGW dendonker and we're to add a proven striker I'd be more than confident of a top 10 finish, but its that what if again, and with injuries already with us and players going on loan (yes they'll benefit etc) were looking abit short. The first month of this campaign may prove to be decisive at the end I just hope we'll be set and ready, firing on all six from match one.

28 Jul 2022 16:59:43
Well I've heard the club are looking at Strikers (admittedly via a third party but supposedly from a source within the club) and have considered Benteke but it probably won't go anywhere. If they seriously were looking at him I doubt something like that would crop up in casual conversation. But looking at Transfermarkts list of free agents Andy Carroll and Dean Sturridge are on the list. If Raul is out for less time than we think and only the club know that are they going to commit to high wages for a 30+ player for even one season. Andrea Belotti looks the best bet at 28 but he probably would want an Italian club with a European place.

{Ed077's Note - I think you mean Daniel Sturridge and he flopped majorly in the A-League.}

28 Jul 2022 17:27:06
But didn't Jeff say we wouldn't get a player who didn't fit our style? Osorio (?) Is still a outside possibility, but it'd be a big ask for him to step straight in. Hwang may well be the biggest surprise in this situation.

28 Jul 2022 17:50:58
Ed yep its Daniel Sturridge!

Saturday game against sporting the dress rehearsal for the Leeds game.
We can see how Lage is going to set up.
Also Sporting I think a strong quality opposition a good test for our team and hopefully we can see some more clarity for all of us going into the season in the current circumstances.
Who and will we sign a striker how long is a piece of string, haven't a clue.
I read Neto feels ready mentally coming back from his long term injury and feels he will be better than his best before he got injured, this is excellent I think as it's perked me up.

28 Jul 2022 18:19:01
Abbey I think that's got a lot to do with it rightly or wrongly it looks as if they've decided the type of player that they want and how much they are prepared to pay and if we can't get what we want we're not paying for what we don't want or don't need. Time will be the judge. Yes Phil let's see how we play against a good side without Raul.

Guys I stopped posting for a couple of months on here because of all the negativity. But not what you might imagine. What I actually find hard to accept is the negativity shown to people whose opinions - and remember it is largely about opinions - that don't chime with your own.

I accept that there are a range of extreme views on here - and I accept that in the past I have both used inflammatory language and resorted to hyperbole to make my points for which I apologise - but whilst I am very happy and indeed would expect people to diasgree with views that differ from theirs I don't like it when it becomes abuse or a herd response.

I also find it difficult to accept when it seems to be inconsistently (and based on who the poster is not what they say) applied. For example over the last month or so we have had several posters making claims about signings/transfers that have - since no one called the only 2 significant trades: Collins or Fabio - all failed to come true but whilst some posters are constantly vilified - I really don't know why they still post - others are praised as ITK posters and top guys?

So please when you post please make it about the subject not the person who posted or their "right" to hold those views.

The majority of fans on forums are there having their relevance to critisise and get their frustrations off their chests.
But I see they forget or never want to talk about the many good things.
For example I posted few times I'm looking forward to a fully fit charged up Neto of which is excellent for any premier club to have a player like that, but nothing it's all not thought of.i understand why because of our recruitment our small squad etc.
Also there is this issue of negative and positive posters.
Agree there shouldn't be anyone singled out for giving an opinion.
Me personally there is too much anger towards our club this makes me feel uncomfortable and thought of as just my heads in the clouds.
All I want is wolves to give me happiness and pleasure.
Maybe forums isn't going to give me what I want.
I'm really unsure.
To be honest I feel deflated.
But respect you for posting what you have.
All the best.
Fingers crossed we throw out a few surprises for the better this coming season.

Phil - talk about good thngs - Neto returning is a v good thing, (as for me but clearly not for many others who are v negative about the matter is the return of Traore) or talk about bad things - no problem.
In fact on this site, but I accept not the Forun or other sites, many fans do indeed merely focus on the good stuff.
But whatever you want to talk about i'm fine but please for the sake of everyone's mental health talk about issues and don't talk about the posters or their right to have those views.
PS
I firmly believe that virTually everyone on here wants Wolves to do well and give happiness and pleasure.
Have a fantasic day - just one week to kick off - can't wait!

29 Jul 2022 09:25:41
OK I didn't realise I was affecting others mental health.
My sincere apologies to all whom it may concern.
If I do it again please pull me up on it.
Thankyou.

Ps,
You too have a fantastic COYW COYW COYW COYW COYW COYW COYW

29 Jul 2022 16:59:16
Phil please be assured that this wasn't aimed at you or indeed any specific poster. However I felt that after a quite a few weeks when the tone on the board had been strong it had over the last few days started to veer towards a less - what is the word - accepting/liberal (?) stance.
ps
Been out today at IWM with a German lady whose mother was in Berlin when the Russians roled in. An amazing museum - funded to a large extent by Roman Abroavomich - at any time but through the eyes of a German with - albeit second hand - knowledge of the v distressing events at the time it was an incredible if chilling experience.

Thanks Thefutureisoldgold you're right what you asked me to do.
I'm real sorry I sure I have made posters uncomfortable who feel they can't say nothing about our club by fear of being questioned.
It's the not talking face to face so sometimes it's easy to mis interpret people's posts and this is what I mean in what I think I do.

I'm glad and appreciate very much you give me the time of day.
Pleased that you shared your day with me.
Glad you had a good day out.
Your feed above is nice to see all the thoughts.
I wanted to post but couldn't think what to say lol.
I admire appreciate being genuine and saying what you want and there is a lot like that including you on here.
I look forward to your player ratings and match anylisis starting of course with Leeds away.

Ps if Traore is fit over his injury and still with us we have a potential match winner.
I think if we have no striker then Traore is an option like podence is reported to play tomorrow.
Collins I'm looking forward to see play.
MGW too.
What excites me is the interest in MGW potential 30 million then he must have something about him for that to be happening.
But cutrone 18 million he didn't workout for us so I'm saying a player can be hyped up but flops.
But with MGW I don't think he will flop.silva not got much back from the huge fee we paid for him.
All is good.
Lol but we want more than good we want the wolves firing on all cylinders fingers crossed that will happen and we all share it together.
